Outfit deets:
* Ashley B faux leather jacket which you've seen multiple times with an all-grey ensemble, when I went to Montreal with my guy, and with my other favourite jeans of the moment (in a more casual look).
* Dynamite t-shirt.
* Chiqle denim which you've seen before I cut the bottoms off.
* Forever 21 heels from last summer which you've seen with a dress last fall.
* Accessories: Deux Lux bag (similar), Suzy Shier necklace, Call it Spring + H&M rings, Gucci shades, Swarovski & Forever 21 bangles.

Raw hem denim is having a serious affair with my heart.  These are the second pair of jeans I've chopped at the ankles and I'm loving the look.  It's a little edgy, a little chic and you can do it yourself within a minute.  It's a quick way to push your personal fashion box and be slightly ahead of the curve (since this trend hasn't fully caught on yet).

On Friday I got a special delivery to work--12 long stemmed roses!  This isn't the first time my guy has sent flowers for no reason, but it sure never loses it's touch.

I got home from work, cracked a beer and relaxed.  We ended up just unpacking and working on the condo before crashing.  We had our entertainment stand delivered on wednesday so we could finally unpack the massive pile of boxes in our living room and stow away all electronics.

On Saturday morning we hit the gym and went to breakfast.

Then came home and spent all afternoon cleaning, unpacking, organizing and shoving crap into every nook and cranny we could find.  My family was coming for Mothers' Day brunch on Sunday so that seriously lit a fire under our butts to get it all done (especially with the entertainment unit here too).

I snapped this shot of our bedroom in the afternoon; we are lucky with the cool view of the water.

The master bedroom is off the living room and hosts a three-piece ensuite and walk-in closet.  Although I was skeptical we would fit a king bed in here, there is more than enough room.  Clearly I can't visualize space without furniture in it.  In the photo above, I'm standing at the window wall, looking back.  You can also see a peek of the kitchen out the door to the left.

I took these photos before we moved in back in February, hence the empty space and the snow on the ground outside.  I won't say much more since I will be sharing photos of the fully furnished space soon so here is a look at it before we took over.

A few months ago I shared that I had become a Style Ambassador for Clearly Contacts, so when they contacted me about making a video, sharing my experience and a bit about myself, I happily got to filming.  As you guys know, I have a YouTube channel where I post weekly videos and this one just went live.

Hope you enjoy this short video where I answer some random questions and share my tips for picking out the perfect frames--oh, and a sneak peek at my new bedroom!

Have a great weekend!
Outfit deets:
* Victoria's Secret bikini top which you saw in Mexico last year.
* Reitmans sweater (new!).
* Colbretti denim cut offs, thrifted & DIY'ed into shorts which you've seen on date night last summer.
* Accessories: G21 shades (yes, from Walmart).

I'm rounding out the last few photos from our vacation to Punta Cana last month.  If I could wear something all the time, it would be something along these lines: shorts & a flowy sweater (or skinny pants and edgy boots).

This week has been a miss mash of stuff, we've had friends over almost every night (one at a time, because that's how we roll, apparently) to catch up and eat.  I've listed--and sold--my shoe and rolling racks.  I've cooked, baked, and vacuumed the condo.  And, the most exciting news of all--and this is serious, 'You need to be grown to get excited for this'--our entertainment unit was delivered and we got a Roomba.

I know.  The things dreams are made of.

Big dreams, guys.  Serious.  Adult.  Dreams.

Happy Thursday!

Outfit deets:
* Lord & Taylor coat (from The Bay) which you've seen in my recent Spring Trends haul.
* Dynamite top.
* H&M denim.
* Accessories: Kate Spade necklace (birthday gift), Expressions ring, Swarovski bangle, Gorjana bangle, Gucci shades & vintage clutch.

The minute I saw this jacket I had to have it.  It was a bit of a splurge, but I'm loving the palm print and it's such a pretty and well made piece.  I know I'll wear this a ton to and from work and when I get dressed up on weekends.  It's such a chic twist on a classic silhouette.

Today I'm sharing my newest Place d'Orleans video: 2014 Spring Trends!  I spent a ton of time cultivating a haul of four major trends this year: Music Festival Inspired, Art Inspired (prints + graphics), Athletica & Boy Meets Girl.

In this video I show you some awesome items I scored at PDO, including my newest fave romper / playsuit (can't get enough).  The warmer weather has finally arrived and I'm starting to put these items to use.  Sidenote, the jeans I picked up were a cool $45 so I highly recommend you grab those--they fit like a glove.

As always, thanks for watching! xo

A sneak peek at my new closet--I spent many hours last week after work and on Friday night unpacking the multiple boxes piled in the second bedroom.  Try to figure out where to put what, buying new hangers for skirts (not shown) as I've always folded them, and much more.

While the other side of the room still has a few unpacked boxes, things are finally coming together and since my guy's parents were coming on Saturday, I had some serious fire under my butt to get organized.

Saturday afternoon.
Outfit deets:  F21 jacket, Garage cardigan, H&M low back tank, Seduction denim, Qupid boots, Deux  Lux bag, Ardene pashmina & Alfred Sung shades.

Outfit deets:
* Aeropostale top (new!).
* Aeropostale bralette (new!).
* Bongo denim (old) and ripped myself (I saw similar pairs at Urban Planet & Zara in the past week).
* Converse.

I'm not sure what's up this week but I'm feeling a little blocked, creatively.  Not sure if it's the pressure of trying to finish up the second bedroom before my guy's parents come this weekend, the weather--it's been rainy and cold all week--or just  general tiredness kicking in.

Here are a couple highlights of my week so far, though: meeting up with my bestie for a little shopping & food court dinner one night, unpacking and organizing the second bedroom with a friend and some wine (after some thai chicken lettuce wraps) and passing the last few hours in the day watching multiple Suits episodes with my guy.

Hope you're all having a great week thus far.  See you tomorrow.

April has come to a close so per usual, here's a recap of what went down.

My guy surprised me and we went to Punta Cana to celebrate my 30th birthday (which was in March), we had a really nice week and I overloaded my Instagram feed with photos.  I shared a few pieces I purchased for the trip, rocked my new overalls and brought my new kimono.

When we came back, I shared my favourite hi-tops, rocked a statement necklace and filmed my next PDO video (which will go live in early May).  I wore the crap out of my acid wash raw-hem jeans (on weekends), started to grow my nails again (#nailbiter), and my guy built me a closet at our new place.  I washed my car for the first time this season (woohoo!) and Marco got me a new tennis racket (um, lessons anyone?).

See all my recaps HERE.

After work on Friday I headed out to Fabricland and Sally...
Outfit deets:  Winners weater, Silver denim & Shoemint Romy heels.

I picked up three fabrics: two floral chiffon prints to make kimonos, and a white rayon-blend for a low-back tank.  Additionally, today is the last day of Fabricland's anniversary sale where everything is 40% off.

I got home and I made sweet potato fries to snack on until Marco got home.

I filmed a video with my new pie maker and they turned out so good.

Later on, I gave myself a mani & (French) pedi with these newbies.

Outfit deets:  Joshua Perets hoodie & Walmart leggings.
On Saturday I woke up and felt awful; sore throat, headache and awful congestion.  I felt so awful we had to cancel our plans with our friends for dinner that evening.

Outfit deets:
* Sirens feather kimono (new!).
* Sirens sheath tunic (new!).
* Accessories: G21 (Walmart) sunnies).

I threw this on for our last night in Punta Cana to head down to the beach.  The wind was wicked and the kimono was flapping around like crazy.  Most of the pictures are blurry or dimly lit, but these two capture the moment and turned out.

I'm so glad the weekend is finally here!  I spent Friday night making sweet potato wedge fries, then pies and gave myself a pedicure while my guy took in some basketball playoffs on tv.  Friday nights are usually at-home date nights for us--mind you, we're still settling into living together--but it was nice to have some me-time knowing he was just a few steps away.

Today we are spending the day building my closet in the second bedroom and tonight our friends are coming over for dinner!  Aside from that, several episodes of Suits, a bit of filming for my next video and a couple trips to the gym.  Hope you have a great weekend!

I have been on a gold kick for several years now, and while continuing to collect silver pieces, my go-to is more often the brassier metal.  That said, I think I'm feeling myself shift towards silver more lately and have a feeling we will see a shift in the fashion world itself.

Today I'm sharing some of my favourite pieces from around the web that I have my eye on.

Full details after the jump...

Outfit deets:
* Dynamite top.
* Chiqle denim from Detox.

I spent several hours filming my next video last night, so here's a little sneak peek of a couple of the pieces I will be sharing.  I love these jeans, the moto-detail on the knees is awesome and they fit like a glove.  If you're more boy-shaped like me, these are a dream and were well priced at $45.

In other news, this week is dragging a bit but luckily it's a short week.  I've spent far too many hours being completely absorbed in Suits--have you guys watched it?  My guy watched all three seasons and is re-watching with me, it's that good.  You know what else is good?  Easter chocolate while watching said tv show.

Happy Thursday!

Outfit deets:
* Ashley B jacket which you've seen with all grey, with the same scarf and an old outfit I would still wear & at the first concert I went to with my guy.
* Smart Set t-shirt.
* Bongo denim (old) which you've seen on the weekend & if you'd like, here is an Instagram shot of the distressing.
* Converse shoes.
* Accessories: G21 (Walmart) sunnies & Club Monaco scarf.

These shoes have been on serious lock since we returned from Punta Cana and the weather has drastically warmed.  I can't get enough of these and being able to wear them elsewhere than in the condo.  I took them for a test drive while shopping on Monday and felt cool, chic and comfortable--perhaps the magical three C's for shopping.

Additionally, I ripped up these jeans myself last summer and had initially cut slits at the bottom inner hem, since they were extra long.  However, the length was off and they weren't super tight at the ankles so they puffed when tucked into booties and didn't sit right with heels.

Then, lightbulb moment!

I chopped them off at the ankle--my preferred length for skinnies--to join the raw hem denim movement and haven't looked back.  I'm so pleased with how they turned out.  See the full 'steps' on my Facebook page.

Outfit deets:
* La Classe Couture faux leather jacket, my black go-to, which you've seen with a navy dress & a long time ago when I used to belt everything.
* Seduction denim (old).
* Sneakers:  Material Girl (last summer)  |  Heels:  Aldo (new!).
* Accessories:  Club Monaco scarf, Aldo clutch, Phillip Lim for Target carryall, Suzy Shier necklace (new!) & Gucci shades.

I'm bringing you two looks today--one casual and one dressed up, using the same base of a leather jacket, denim & a tee.

The first look is one I would wear in the evening to grab Pho with my guy or on weekends while running errands.  While I love heels, I've always held a soft spot for skate shoes and these have a chic twist.

The second look is more dressed up, I ditched the scarf in lieu of a statement necklace, threw on heels and added a clutch; definitely something I would wear out for date night or to meet up with girlfriends.

On Thursday after work I met with Serena and we shot some outfits (will be sharing a cool two-ways to wear post tomorrow) before I retreated home to take care of a sick boyfriend.

I made Thai chicken lettuce wraps--again--for myself and...

...picked up pizza later on for my guy.
