Outfit deets:
* Jacob sweater which has become a fast favourite since I got it back in August--they still have it, btw--and you've seen it in my Back to School video,  on the weekend for date night and another night with friends & I also recently picked it up in off-white because I love it that much (and there was a 25% off promo).
* Urban Planet leggings which are very much like dancer leggings, they're shiny and I was a little uncertain about them at first but now they've become my go-to, aside from my faux leather ones.

Thursday already?  Awesome.  This week has flown by, apparently, only known by the fact that it's Thursday.

I've been staying up late and sticking to the sheets every morning--a horrible routine to get into.  On top of that, it seems I've lost all motivation to hit the gym when last week I did seven days in a row!  Wah.  I've managed to go four times (including Saturday & Sunday) but once was yoga and does that really count?  I recently started adding yoga to my fitness routine and I'm still unsure about it.  I've been very anti-yoga for many years as I've never really enjoyed it but, if it's getting me to the gym with less groaning, I guess it's better than nothing and at least I'm moving my body.

Only a few days left to vote for me in the Dynamite model contest & the MiB Canadian Blog Awards.  I'd be so thankful if you could click those vote buttons for me (thank you!).

Outfit deets:
* Old Navy jacket (old) which you've seen over a white denim jacket with olive dress, with different black skinnies (& heels) and a cool snood (a favourite post), & also with a leopard skirt.
* H&M black pants--my faves (from my trip Vegas; haul video HERE)--which you've seen with a blush sweater & buckle open-toe booties.
* Ardene chrome cap-toe flats (I've worn these so much since getting them months ago there is a hole in them!  Wahhhh!  I know they aren't the best quality, but I love them so much and find myself reaching for them constantly.  They are effortlessly chic with the silver cap-toe).  You've seen them with black & white pants with a peplum top.
* Accessories:  Le Chateau pashmina, Gucci shades, Detox spike bangle, F21 square bangle & Joe Fresh striped bangle.

Hello Friday!

The weekend is finally (almost) here and who doesn't love that!?

This week has been super lovely and I haven't worn a jacket into work once.  What a beautiful change from a few weeks ago when it was still almost freezing.

In other news, my car is acting up again.  Ugh.  I took it in on Monday before work because it was acting up, the Service Manager managed to turn off the engine light which temporarily fixed the problem.  We booked it in for two weeks from now as that's when I'll be able to get a loaner.  Well, last night while driving home from getting a (spray) tan and groceries, it started happening again.  How frustrating is that, right?  Very.  I just thank my lucky stars there is warranty left on the car because although this is a headache, it's not coming out of my pocket.

This weekend I'm heading out of town for tonight and Sunday there is a Mothers' Day brunch at my grandparent's senior residence.  What are you up to?

Outfit deets:
* American Eagle cardigan which you've seen with white pants in the summer and with a khaki skirt and my neon Louboutins.
* Urban Planet peplum top that I scored during the shop-off that won me the title of PDO Fashion Vlogger (you can also see it in my Fall Fashion vlog).
* H&M pants (old).
* Ardene cap-toe flats (I'm clearly having a cap-toe-moment).  See cap-toe my DIY HERE.
* Accessories:  Suzy necklace, Dollarama ring & Auslini bangle.

How is everyone's week shaping up?  We got dumped with a ton of snow yesterday (which was really pretty, but terrible for driving) and I spent the evening indoors just having a me night.

I know I've been keeping you semi-updated on the car sitch, so here's where I'm at: I've found a car that I like and am going through all the hoops to figure out if it's 'the one'.  My car is for sale and I've shown it a few times, I've even gotten an offer but decided I wanted to get a little more than they were offering.

Buying and selling a car is time consuming and stressing me out (ha), but, that's probably why it's taken me so long to get even this far.  That said, I won't say much more as I don't want to jinx anything or get all excited for nothing.  There is much more to do before anything is (if and when) finalized, so yes.  That is that thus far.

Don't forget to come back tomorrow for the second discussion day in our little series (btw, what should I name this series?).  Read last week's topic HERE.

Outfit deets:
* Joe Fresh jacket.
* Winners top.
* Ardène pashmina & shoes.
* H&M pants.
* Accessories:  gifted belt, MK bracelet & Swarovski bangle.

Funny how the last time I wore these pants it was in a eerily similar outfit.

So last night I was supposed to get together with Sarah for our Christmas gift exchange but she turned up with the flu and the evening was cancelled.  We are going to try again for tonight, which is pretty exciting.  Dinner, drinks, my bff and presents?  Hello.

Happy Thursday!

Outfit deets:
* Alexandre Bartlett top from Winners (old)
* Mexx bubble skirt (old) that's been worn with a navy and baby blue colour blocked top
* Accessories: J.Crew necklace & Joe Fresh bangle

Colour explosion!

When I wore this outfit I felt like I was wearing a lot of colour.  Looking at the photos now?  Not so much.

I think in person though. rocking three brights at once is not something that comes easy for most.  It certainly doesn't for me.  Wearing one bright is enough, two is slightly intimidating and three is something I never thought I'd go for... until now.

I've been pushing my 'fashion box' limits lately, and wearing lots of colour is part of that.  I used to be a big neutral person, but I'm trying to take advantage of the big colour-blocking (and neon) trend that is happening for this spring and summer.  It's actually gotten to the point where I'm now no longer even wanting to wear neutrals!  I am constantly going for the colours in my closet, versus the black and greys.  Success!

How do you feel about wearing a lot of colour ?

Later that day, some girlfriends and I went out for a movie and drinks, so I slipped on my neon pink shorts and kept the rest of the outfit the same.  Now how's that for adding even more colour!

Other ways I've multiple colours:
* Bright accessories: shades, pashmina & necklace
* Purple dress, orange necklace (a suggestion from a friend)
* Watermelon colours (I love this)
* The 'Easter threw up on me' outfit

The weekend is finally here (and passing ever so quickly, of course).  This week has been a tough one for getting out of bed in the mornings.  I love sticking to the sheets; the earlier, the stickier.  However, the weekend is finally here which means sleeping in and doing fun (non-work-related) things.  I'm currently out of town brought my laptop with me and was able to get an Internet connection.  The weather is crisp and cool and you can see your breath, perfect for a night in with fresh home-made Indian cuisine, Queen Elizabeth cake for dessert and some of my favourite people.

My weekend has been interesting; I've not only had a great one, it's been a huge learning experience.  Over the past few months, I've started to realize just how important communication is (it's huge), and you'd think I would know that (or anyone would, for that matter), but I didn't.  I never realized the powerfulness behind communication and talking things through.  I've also learned that you should never take anyone for granted.  They could be gone at the drop of the hat but if you're really, really lucky, they might still stick around.  You know who you are, and I'm so grateful.

I wore this outfit to a baby shower in the Spring and totally forgot to post about it, so, here we are.
 Joe Fresh cardigan, Mexx dress, Jules & James flats, Le Chateau pashmina,
A.Co Designs key necklace, F21 bangles & Bay ring

Three patterns are better than one, wouldn't you agree?  I got so many compliments on this outfit - people seem to really be digging the mix of prints (did I really just say 'digging'?).  It's pretty basic as it's all black and white, but a great way to incorporate the mixing-prints-trend into your look.

Thank you all for your sweet comments on my return to the world of blogging.  You are all so sweet and it's much appreciated.  I'm doing well.  I know I promised you all a give-away, and I haven't forgotten; I promise to get that up early next week.

In other news, the weekend is here, my new shoes arrived in the mail yesterday (I will post those tomorrow), I have recently had a ton of luck in the purse-shopping-department (so rare for me, I've been using the same bags for years now with the odd addition here and there, and then I find like, four in the past three months - unheard of) and it's still Summer (for those of you wishing away the Summer and craving for Fall, please stop.  It's especially disheartening for someone like yours truly who lives in winter for, oh, about eight months of the year).  Okay fine, I'm secretly excited for faux fur, layers, leggings, breaking out my (faux) leather jackets, jeans tucked into boots (and boots for that matter), hot beverages, crisp evenings and spiced candles.  But I can wait.

I've skipped a few months and haven't been on the ball with the resolutions... maybe I should have had my New Year Resolutions include writing resolutions every month. Oh well. Regardless, August is off to a great start and I'd like to keep the momentum going. Here are my top resolutions for the last full month of summer:

1. Spend time lake-side (at a cottage).

2. Use Instagram more often.

3. Get back into thrifting (it's been soo long).

4. Save more money (does this mean I should cross off number three?).

5.  Wear the clothes I've purchased that still have tags on them.

6.  Run 1km without stopping. Complete!

7.  Wear sunscreen on the tops of my hands everyday.

Did you notice the shoe switch?

Also, I bought these navy Ardene flats and within wearing them twice, sadly, the sole started coming away from the shoe.  I haven't had the chance to try and return them yet and was thinking I might try and superglue them.  I love the colour and they are super comf, plus, for $14, if superglue works, it could be worth it.  Have you ever superglued your shoe soles?

Smart Set tee, Seduction skirt, Mossimo flats, Gucci shades, gifted Auslini bangle, Bay ring & F21 necklace

Do you ever will something to happen?  For instance, willing someone to text you and then it's like, 'Speak of the devil, you ol' devil you!' when they text you?  No?  Just me?  Do you believe in willing something to happen?  I believe in positive thinking and optimism.  Willing something to happen?  Sometimes... Coincidences?  Always. Apparently there are no coincidences.  Apparently coincidences are a product of willing.  And to be honest?  I believe in that.

Oh hello completely unedited photos.  I don't normally do too much to my photos, a little shading here, some cropping there, but not this time.  The main computer has been infested with viruses for months and I have been forced to blog from my laptop since last summer (pain in the butt).  However, the software to edit my photos was on the big computer (and still working) so for every post I'd be editing photos on that computer, transferring the images to a USB stick and plugging into my laptop to actually blog (just writing about it is tiring let alone...).  However, the big computer is now fixed and I can blog from it again (woohoo, mouse power) but the software I used to edit my photos is gone (gone, gone)... hence the unedited photos (did you even notice?  I didn't think so).

The switch:  heels to flats in 5 seconds flat(get it? Flat? Ha? Ha...)

I'm frolicking on jennifhsieh today while she frolicks in conference-land.
