Happy Monday ladies, how was your weekend? Mine seemed to involve a fair amount of food and not much else, according to these photos! Ha, but anyway, the photo above was from a night during last week, but wanted to share. My bestie and I went out to celebrate her birthday and had a great meal outside--I love taking advantage of the Summer nights and dining al fresco, small life pleasures!

Happy Friday ladies! I'm back with another round of Forever 21 picks--I was at the store last night and the Fall stuff is starting to arrive, but I also found some super cute pieces to wear now and later.
I'm still loving boho looks, chokers, high-waist denim and athletic wear. I'm super stoked they brought back that open back workout top--which I already own in grey--because it's so flattering, and I find they are hard to find, so I had to scoop it up in the burgundy colour.
The top above is actually from the curvy line. Did you know they make totally different items for that section? Although I'm usually a medium in most stores, I'm lucky if a large fits at Forever 21--their stuff runs so small! So, I always take a quick loop around the curvy side to see if anything strikes my fancy, plus I love flowy pieces. I love this pretty top with the high-waisted denim as it's on the cropped side; would make a great date night look.

Still Summer loving over here but will be shifting gears to more Fall outfits soon so wanted to share a really great transitional piece and how to wear it now while the temps are still soaring. The drapey vest or sleeveless trench is such a great piece for layering over a romper, body hugging dress or even denim shorts and a cami. It's again one of those great third pieces that just looks chic without trying.
When temperatures drop, I'm planning to pair this with a thin knit sweater and skinnies or over a long sleeved dress with boots. You can even try pairing it under a shorter jacket like I did back in the Spring.
"Casual Friday" calls for elevated denim with heels and a bag that fits almost everything--I love it so much I have it in black as well.
Later that evening, we headed to Kingston to spend the night with Marco's family...
Today is the last day of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I'm still waiting on a couple pieces to arrive, but it seriously has me so excited for Fall! Don't get my wrong, I love Summer, but there is something about the cool, crisp weather, layers, and neutrals of the season that has me excited for all the outfits I'm going to wear!
Of course I had to round up some final pieces for you ladies that I'm loving, because as of tomorrow, everything goes back up to full price. Now is a great time to grab new Fall merchandise at a fraction of the regular price for your wardrobe. Happy shopping!
