Today's look is a super simple throw-on-and-go ensemble. Start with all black, add a military-inspired vest, some tan booties and you're out the door. I'm all for easy, casual dressing, especially on the weekends. I would wear something like this to run errands, out shopping or for lunch with the girls.
Are you all set for Thanksgiving? I'd love to hear your plans; big meal with the fam? Small diner for two? Our friends are hosting a huge pasta dinner on Friday, which isn't the first time. I'm not sure I'll be able to attend--still fighting this awful cold--but regardless it will be fun.

Hi ladies, how was your weekend? I've been seriously under the weather for five. freaking. days. It's been rough and is hanging on hard. My voice is gone and I wasn't able to sit at the computer for the first four days, hence the lack of posts last week. Now if this congestion and hacking cough would kick it, we'd be good.
All that to say, nothing went down on the weekend but resting between the bed and the couch, and plenty of episodes of The Walking Dead, Silicone Valley and my YouTube subscription list.

Happy Sunday ladies! The snow has started to fly over here so of course I'm thinking scarves, sweaters and outerwear! However, I promise I'll include more than just that for my girls in the warmer climates.
My scarf above is no longer available but this one is super similar.
I gifted one of my girlfriends this scarf for Christmas last year. Also loving this pretty blush one, this more neutral toned one, and this one with black and blush. All under $25.
Lastly, I think we are going to be seeing more and more skinnier scarves and I'm loving this classic grey one.

I love, love, love the holidays and one of my favourite parts is the parties! I have a few lined up for the season already, including a girls night in with Christmas Sangria (it was a pajama party last year) and of course the annual Secret Santa that we host here.
That said, we all know how much work goes into party planning, and at this extra special time of year, I like to gift the hostess with a little something. Imagine spending weeks planning a party and having your girlfriends show up with a little sumthin' sumthin' upon arrival? I mean, who wouldn't love that.
Of course, it doesn't have to be expensive, just thoughtful, but I tend to keep it between $10 to $30, so I've put together a bunch of my favourite things to give (and get!) for your favourite hostess.
