Happy Labour Day! We have been keeping it pretty low key this weekend, but we did celebrate our anniversary last night, a couple days early, which was wonderful.
There are tons of sales happening, several ending today, so I wanted to share a few that caught my eye in case you're in the mood to shop. I'm not ready to hand over the keys to Fall just yet, but do love those cooler temps at night & Fall layers.

I love sharing Forever 21 Finds with you ladies, but wanted to kick it up a notch, so today I'm sharing my picks for this week plus a bunch of items I tried on, how they fit and more. I know the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale try-ons (first one, second one, shoe department) were helpful and so although this isn't a huge sale of sorts, thought it would be fun to share.
I'll tried on a ton of Fall-worthy pieces, and some athletic wear as well. I'm also sharing several pieces I'm loving that I didn't try on, at the bottom of the post.
Summer is the quintessential time for hosting get togethers and what better way to send off Summer with a rooftop crab boil! While we do our fair share of hosting, we had never done anything like this before, so when Marco invited 15 of our friends over, I quickly got to planning!
First we set the menu, aside from the crab, and then it was time to get down to the fun part: the decor details! I headed out to Place d'Orleans and explored several of the home stores and so began the planning of Crab Boil 2016...

Bomber jackets are everywhere right now, and whether you love them or not, they are definitely here to stay. I picked up this crepe one and had a hard time choosing between colours--I'll share the other colour I got soon--because they are all so cute.
Since we are still in the swing of Summer, I paired mine with an easy skirt, plain t-shirt then spiced things up with a velvet choker and my fave lace up flats. Denim shorts would be a great alternative, if you're looking to show some leg.
Also, I'm back to blonde! After growing out my hair for almost two years, I finally went to someone new to bring up my balayage and brighten around my face at the end of June. Well, I left looking like either (1) darker than before but way more blended, or to some (2) pretty much the same. I lived with it for a month and it just felt too brunette so I went back and she went very blonde. I'm finally starting to get used to the blonde again, but won't be touching it for a while.
It's Monday and can you believe we are coming up on September?! Hard to believe the Summer is nearing a close. And while I am excited for Fall and the fashion, I will take a few more warm nights, please.
I wanted to share a sneak of a dinner we had last Thursday, although not technically the weekend, I'm sharing anyway! We hosted 15 of our friends for a Crab Boil on the rooftop and it was so so so fun! I'm going to be sharing a full post on the evening with all the details in a few weeks, but how stunning is that sunset?!
