For our wedding, I wanted to be as crafty as I could to really personalize our special day (and save money). I started shopping early on (well, not that early considering we planned our wedding in five months) and would hit up various thrift stores, at least weekly in my hunt for picture frames.  Once I had a good variety, I grabbed some metallic silver spray paint from the local hardware store, and went to work. The finished product looked so great at the wedding. We displayed our engagement shoot photos in the frames, which we had kept a secret from everyone until that day.

I am officially a Mrs.!

We had the most amazing day on Friday.  We couldn't have asked for a better day.  Everything went perfect, the weather was warm and sunny, and everything went off without a hitch.  Our photographer sent us this one photo to tide us over for a few weeks until we see them all (I can't wait!), and I had to share it with you.  Stay tuned for more!

Today I will marry the most amazing man in the entire world.

Can't wait to be a wifey!

I love you, peng.

This past weekend, my most amazing friends took me to Montreal for a wicked Bachelorette party weekend.  My BFF planned an incredible stay with only the best of the best activities and events.  Everything was top secret until it was happening and it was perfect.  We had an action-packed two days in the busy city and I am so grateful to have such wonderful, caring friends!  Thank you ladies for making this one of the most memorable trips I've ever taken, your generosity has not gone unnoticed and I appreciate each and every one of you!

My coworkers totally tricked me.  They threw me a bridal shower and I had no idea!  Very thoughtful and very impressive.  Here's how it went down:  My girl friend CG and I work together-ish.  She scheduled a meeting for us for a 'quick chat' but assured me everything was okay.  15 minutes before our meeting, I ran to the bathroom, thinking I would have enough time, but ran into my friend.  Now this is odd since she works on the first floor and I'm on the sixth, but I made nothing of it and she said she'd wait for me.  Sure enough, when I came back, she was waiting outside a boardroom (with a closed door) and pulled me in where over 20 people were waiting to surprise me!  Isn't that the sweetest?  They had a huge cake, a beautiful bouquet of flowers for me, CG made cherry chip cupcakes because she knows they're my fave, they also had some drinks, a 'BRIDE' sash and a super sweet card with a gift card inside!  I am blown away and they really got me good - I feel so thankful.

Bridal Shower III

As most of you know, I'm getting married this month (August 20th) and if you didn't know, 1) you know now, and 2) if you scroll down a bit you'll realize I haven't shut up about it.

That said, I'm looking for guest bloggers to help me out while the wedding activities and honeymoon take place.  I anticipate being very busy and short on time and would love it if you'd like to be a guest blogger at some point during that time (one post).  It would ideally be a post about fashion, DIY or something you as a reader would be interested seeing on A.Co est. 1984.

If you're interested, leave a comment with your email address or email me at ACoest1984@gmail.com and we'll work something out.

Looking forward to working with you!

They're here!  My wedding shoes have arrived!  I'm ecstatic.  They fit, they are amazing, and I'm so excited!  Yes, they are the ones I said I was getting close to.  Yes, it panned out and yes, I'm so relieved and happy.  I'm keeping it top secret (to surprise my future hubby), so you will have to wait another three weeks or so.

Meet Sarah from the blog, 'For the Love...'.  This seriously crafty mom has stolen my heart.  I found her blog a mere, oh, two weeks ago, maybe, and was instantly hooked.  Not only is she amazing at DIY's, stylish, thrifty, super kind & a hair stylist - she's gorgeous!

Sarah was so sweet to help me out in looking for some suggestions for my upcoming nuptuals.  She has given me tons of cool ideas to incorporate into our big day, and, she blogged about it!

We all know that these are my non-wedding shoes now, so, that gives me free reine to wear them whenever I want.  Someone suggested I return them, but that's not gonna happen, I love them too much.  Someone else commented also saying (more like screeching), 'Howwww on earrrrrth do you waaalk in those shooooes?!'  I told them practice makes perfect.  Eat it.

One more thing, I've been wanting to shoot by this building for some time, it's super close to the graffiti wall, but everytime I went by, there were tons of people around, making it quite awkward to bust out a photo shoot.  This day wasn't much different but I said, 'F-it' and shot away.  Who cares!

I am getting real close to purchasing some wedding shoes.  I know, I know, some of you are thinking, 'I thought you already had your wedding shoes?!'  And, well, technically yes, I did buy some beautiful shoes that were almost exactly what I was looking for.  Now, the second thoughts are drowning out my desire to wear these for the wedding and alas I'm on the hunt.  I have found something though.  Something that doesn't match the former criteria... at all.  I'm very excited, but, it's not a done deal just yet... so you'll have to stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed for me that it works out.

Oh, and PS, rest assured they don't look like the
shoes above (but damn would I be comfy).
