If you follow me on Facebook, you already know about my exciting day on Thursday, but if not, let me recap...

Every year there is an annual charitable baseball tournament at my work. We pay a team fee (works out to about $20 each) and play for the afternoon. Depending on how many games you win, you either continue playing or are out.
This is the fourth year our team has played together and after always coming in second every year, we were determined to win it this year. And we did just that! After four exciting, athletically challenging and sweaty games, we prevailed and won in the finals! So exciting and our team name (The Masterbatters, clever, right?) will now be on the trophy, finally!
Yes, we are giving, 'The Shocker' as it is our team hand logo. Haha.
After a year of being told and untold many times that I would be moving offices, it finally happened, and I got a window. Woohoo! The view isn't spectacular (a roof and connecting building), but in the winter, the snow squals in this little alcove are awesome and it's a window, hell-o. I'll take a window over no window any day and this is a refreshing change since I've been located in the basement* for over a year now.
* It's not really the basement of the building, more like ground level or a walk-out basement, if you will (aka you know the bugs you might come across in your basement? Well, you might have come across them in my office. Ack!). There were windows, just none near my office so natural light is a refreshing change.
My coworkers totally tricked me. They threw me a bridal shower and I had no idea! Very thoughtful and very impressive. Here's how it went down: My girl friend CG and I work together-ish. She scheduled a meeting for us for a 'quick chat' but assured me everything was okay. 15 minutes before our meeting, I ran to the bathroom, thinking I would have enough time, but ran into my friend. Now this is odd since she works on the first floor and I'm on the sixth, but I made nothing of it and she said she'd wait for me. Sure enough, when I came back, she was waiting outside a boardroom (with a closed door) and pulled me in where over 20 people were waiting to surprise me! Isn't that the sweetest? They had a huge cake, a beautiful bouquet of flowers for me, CG made cherry chip cupcakes because she knows they're my fave, they also had some drinks, a 'BRIDE' sash and a super sweet card with a gift card inside! I am blown away and they really got me good - I feel so thankful.
