Good morning ladies!  Happy Monday & post Christmas week!

I wanted to do a round up of Christmas in this edition of the Weekend Recap since it all kind of bled together.  We had three wonderful days off, that were busy and relaxing so onto the snaps.

Christmas Eve is my Dad's birthday, and I shared this photo on Instagram...

Friday, golden hour.  The sun is setting behind me, but it reflects off the buildings that we can see from the condo and casts the most gorgeous light.

Last week I was sick, and to be honest, I'm still fighting a terrible cold.  The holiday season is something I love and get so excited for, but I definitely tend to bite off more than I can chew.  Between social gatherings, hosting, shopping, Vlogmas, regular work, blogging and this year my condo closing,  it's a lot, and my body is saying, slow down.

That said, I'm definitely feeling better, but it's still lingering.  I tried not to do too much this weekend, but after laying in bed for three days, I was feeling pretty anxious to get out and be productive.

On Friday night, Marco surprised me by coming home with Indian take-out.  We had tickets to see Star Wars and a birthday party to attend and I stayed home while he went out.

On Friday night I went to a Girls Christmas Party at a friend's house where we were instructed to wear our Christmas jammies.  Turns out I didn't have any Christmas pajamas... until now.

I popped into Ardene and tried on a bunch of Christmas-themed comfy clothes and this thin, fleece onesie stole my heart.  I grabbed these cutie slippers as well, in white.

I recently picked up this three-in-one choker meets dainty necklace.  I grew up in the 90's, so I've done the choker thing and didn't think it was for me again but turns out, I'm loving it!  After just one wear, I know this necklace is going to get a lot of play this winter.

HAT  |  WINNERS SWEATER (SIMILAR)  |  BRALETTE  |  SKINNIES  |  ALDO BOOTS - OLD (SIMILAR)  |  NECKLACE

On Friday night we headed out for an impromptu date night.  It was raining all day and since we were trying to film my Holiday Lookbook, I was all made up.  I threw on the hat in an attempt to save my hair from the weather.

We went to Milestones and had an amazing meal.  Even though we usually go for stand-alone restaurants, this place is one we really love.  I tried a Moscow Mule for the first time and discovered I have been seriously missing out!  #whydidntanyonetellme

F21 SCARF - NEW BUT CAN'T FIND ONLINE (AS SEEN HERE)

On Friday evening we headed out to see Mockingly Jay Part II but realized, at the theatre, Marco had accidentally bought tickets to see Spectre instead!  It was still fun and I'm a huge Bond movie lover anyway.  We went to the new VIP theatre at Lansdowne where they serve a full menu in your seats along with alcoholic beverages #hello

The tree is up!

On Friday night, a group of friends and I went to Ottawa's first Booby Ball.  We had bought tickets months ago and the night was finally here.  It was a large event in support of breast cancer and it sold out.  It was held in the Horticulture building at Lansdowne Park and it was a huge party from the minute you walked in.

They had a photographer at the front taking everyone's photos as they arrived, a DJ spinning, a manicure station, passed appetizers, a photo booth, people dressed in Star Wars costumes, an open bar & more.  People were full of spirit and we saw tons of sequins, glitter, face paint and even some fun costumes.  We danced the night away and had a great time.

More photos after the jump...

Hope you ladies had a great weekend.  I'm keeping this recap somewhat short as I guess I just didn't capture a ton.

We went back to Kingston for the internment of Marco's father.  Afterwards, we went back to the house for a huge Filipino feast and some time to relax.

The next day...

Happy Monday ladies!  Hope you had a great Halloween weekend.

Marco's mom came into town for the weekend so after we picked her up from the station, we went and grabbed some pho.  Afterwards it was home to just relax for the rest of the evening.

LEGGINGS  |  PUMAS  |  SUPRAS

On Saturday we...

TEE (MEN'S SMALL)  |  DENIM  |  BANGLE

On Friday, we had a bunch of friends over to watch the Jays game.  Such a disappointing end, but what a great run.  I'm not huge into sports but was definitely rooting for them.  On the flip side, we had a ton of amazing food.

On Saturday morning, we headed out to Kingston to visit Marco's mom...

JACKET -- OLD (SIMILAR, LOVE THIS)  |  TOP (BLACK, GREY)  |  CAMI  |  FLARES  |  BAG  |  SCARF (IN BAG)

This weekend was part fun, part productive.  On Friday I wore my new flares which are super long.  I have these jeans in a shorter length that work perfect for flats but have been on the hunt for a similar pair that is long enough for heels.  I have a hard time spending big money on denim so when I found these at Winners, it was a done deal.

MK BANGLE (SIMILAR)  |  THIN GORJANA BANGLE (SIMILAR)  |  ALDO RINGS  |  NAIL COLOUR

Friday's lunch--I'm a big fan of FarmBoy's salad bar and when I treat myself to it I always get this combination:  kale salad mix (with nuts, cranberries & wild rice), beets & ginger-sesame tofu.
Happy Tuesday ladies!  This past weekend was Thanksgiving in Canada so it was a long weekend for me with tons of family & eating.  First though, some very sad news....

On Friday night we took it easy and stayed in.  We did pop downstairs to the party room as there was a goodbye party for our Super and we wanted to wish him well.

Marco brought us home some Viet take-out (heaven in a bowl!) and I spent the evening editing my on-set PDO photoshoot vlog.

Hi ladies--happy Monday.

We are finally back in town after being away for a week for Marco's Dad's passing.  The weekend was very busy, but not very photo worthy and obviously lots of sad moments.  We did, however, have a beautiful celebration of his life and so many friends and family came to support us and share their love and stories.

Thank you all for your messages, tweets, comments and more during this time.  Your support is so appreciated.

We had several of our friends come down for the service, which was so wonderful.  Seeing those faces was really special.  We actually had an hour afterwards, for the first time in a week, to go and grab a drink with them before they headed back home too.  We sat on a patio, on the water in Kingston, and it was a really nice, brief, distraction.

Hope you all had a great weekend, thank you again for the kind words and virtual hugs and I'll see you tomorrow with a new outfit post!

Cheers xo
Happy Monday!  I have to be honest, ladies, this weekend wasn't very eventful.  It was pouring rain on both days and we basically spend the entire weekend in the condo.  Sometimes weekends are just good for getting things done and relaxing...

ARDENE TEE (SIMILAR)  |  ZARA WAXED PANTS (LOVE THESE)  |  ASH BOOTIES (SIMILAR)  |  H&M BAG (SIMILAR)

On Friday night I met up with my cousins for dinner at Blue Cactus.  They were visiting from out of town and it was great to see them.  Afterwards, they went to check out the light show on Parliament Hill (which I was at the week before with a different out-of-town Aunt).  I would highly recommend it to anyone in Ottawa or visiting--it plays every night at 9pm for the month of September and is free.

I had the ahi tuna caprese salad for dinner and it was really great.

On Sunday morning, we were up super early to hit the road to head to Chateau Montebello, a Fairmont resort about an hour from Ottawa.  We went to celebrate our anniversary and I'd love to share a ton of photos, if you'd like to see...

Hi ladies!  Happy long weekend--hope you're having a great one.  It's pouring rain here now but it's been absolutely sunny and hot all weekend long--a really nice way to round out the Summer.

If you follow me in other places, you know that Marco and I went away for our anniversary this weekend.  I was putting together the recap and it was quite lengthy so I've decided to break it up into two parts, essentially Friday and Saturday, and then our time away in Montebello from Sunday to Monday (which will be up tomorrow).  So with that, onto the snaps...

TEE (SIMILAR, GOT THIS ONE FOR MARCO)  |  H&M BAG (SIMILAR)

Friday night, supporting the Jays and grabbing a few groceries.

On Friday evening, I headed to the gym and rounded out the week of going every. single. night.  This doesn't happen every week, by any means, but I had a goal to get there and did it... and then took the weekend off!

Hi ladies!  I spent last weekend in Montreal celebrating my girl friend's bachelorette party.  It was a wicked, overnight to-do and I'd love to share a ton of photos with you...

DYNAMITE TANK (SIMILAR)  |  SHORTS  |  ZARA SLIDES (SIMILAR)  | H&M BAG (SIMILAR, BLACK)

I left my place just after 9am, grabbed coffee and picked up two of my girls and we drove out to Montreal (about a two hour drive).  We stopped about halfway at a service station and that's where this pic was snapped.

Upon arrival, we met up with four other friends, including the bride, who had arrived the night before.  We spent the entire day at the pool lounging around sipping drinks and enjoying the sunshine.

On Friday afternoon we headed out of town to our friend's cottage to spend a long weekend.

Tons more photos after the jump...
