Friday, golden hour. The sun is setting behind me, but it reflects off the buildings that we can see from the condo and casts the most gorgeous light.
Last week I was sick, and to be honest, I'm still fighting a terrible cold. The holiday season is something I love and get so excited for, but I definitely tend to bite off more than I can chew. Between social gatherings, hosting, shopping, Vlogmas, regular work, blogging and this year my condo closing, it's a lot, and my body is saying, slow down.
That said, I'm definitely feeling better, but it's still lingering. I tried not to do too much this weekend, but after laying in bed for three days, I was feeling pretty anxious to get out and be productive.
On Friday night, Marco surprised me by coming home with Indian take-out. We had tickets to see Star Wars and a birthday party to attend and I stayed home while he went out.
On Saturday morning I woke up super early, which was annoying (perhaps due to an early bedtime?) but I took advantage of some quiet time, made some oatmeal and caught up on some YouTube videos.

I had a meeting on Saturday morning I couldn't miss so I pulled myself together and off I went... in a clean car (below) that go instantly dirty because we woke up to a winter wonderland!
After my meeting, I picked up two Christmas gifts and the hat below, then went to meet Marco for a late breakfast at The Barley Mow.
SANDOVA HAT (SIMILAR; LOVE & ON SALE)
Saturday evening we hosted my best friend, her hubby and two babes for dinner--something we had planned for Thursday but I had to cancel due to being sick. We did our annual gift exchange and you can see that on Vlogmas Day 19.
Sunday morning I slept in and skipped the gym. I know my body is telling me to take it easy and the gym, for me, pushes it. Instead, I made some protein pancakes and just lazed around a bit.
I wrapped some gifts in the afternoon and took it easy.
Later on that evening, we went to our favourite Vietnamese spot for dinner and called it a night around 9:30pm.
Hope you had a great weekend! Christmas countdown is on--who's ready? #notme
