Easy & Forgiving

Mexx dress, Garage denim jacket, Le Chateau pashmina, Bamboo gladiators,
Aldo bag (also seen here), H&M bangle & Tiffany bracelet ... (oops, left my work pass on!)

One and a half weeks into my only-wearing-flats experiment, and I'm getting tired of this.  I feel so casual in flats and while I welcome the breather from heels, two weeks is a long time.  Regardless, I thought I'd give you a peek at this outfit today.  This Mexx dress is a loose crisp (lined) cotton dress, with pockets - which I love!  It's great for those I'm-feeling-bloated days, and also an easy dress to throw on.  I've rocked it with heels and flats, in the summer and in the winter (with and without tights) - it's quite versatile (and forgiving).

Today is your last day to enter my GIVE-AWAY!  It's super easy, just leave a comment on the give-away post & be a follower.  The winner will be announced tomorrow!

Those flats are so cute! They're dressy enough that it's a nice compromise to not wearing heels :)

your shoes look cute with this dress!
I love flats :) but I want to wear heels more.

Yesterday we were in NYC and there was this woman in stiletto pumps (gorgeous shoes though) and I was ABOUT to say to my mom "Wow how does she walk through the city in those?" when the woman stumbled and her shoe went flying.... I turned to my mom and said "well, I guess she isn't!" lol

That dress looks great on you. I love those dresses that you can throw on no matter how bloated you are and feel comfortable and look great. Good for you for holding strong with your flats experiment!

This is my absolute perfect outfit! Cute dress, scarf, flats, awesome bag. I think you rock the flats, but I hear you about feeling more casual in flats than heels. I always feel more dressed up at work in heels than flats.

Love the bright scarf. Makes your outfit pop.

I know exactly what you mean by how wearing flats feels so casual. Atleast yours are still stylish. Some flats are just boring. Hope you have a fast recovery though!! I bet your heels miss you as much as you miss them.

The shoes in your previous post... O-M-G those shoes are AMAZING!!! I'm sure your wedding fund will forgive you.. {*haha}

Oh wow. A life without heels (or even a week)? That is a bold experiment.

I know exactly what you mean about feeling casual in flats, they are hard to dress up. I think it's a mental block - because you do look lovely, and the flats are gorgeous.
