Hi ladies!  Hope you're having a great week, we are almost to the weekend!  Marco has been away for work, and I've been taking advantage of the evenings solo to start the new series This is Us.  Have you seen it!?  I binge watched four episodes the first night and am totally hooked.  The twists are insane, but it's also pretty emotional too.

Tonight, I have a girlfriend coming over to hang and then tomorrow we are practically at the weekend, so yipee!  Today feels like one of those days that is just going right, you know?  Lately, I've been kind of having some down days, and it feels good to have a shift.

Onto the round up, it's been a while since I've done one of these, and I've been trying to incorporate more off-the-cuff posts on IG along with the usual outfits so let's jump in!

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  PARKA FROM ITALY (SIMILARSIMILAR)  |  SHEARLING VEST -- OLD (SIMILAR, SIMILAR)  |  POM HAT -- OLD (SIMILAR)  |  GARAGE STRIPED TOP (SIMILAR)  |  NECKLACE  |  LEGGINGS  |  FLAT OVER THE KNEE BOOTS (SHOULD HAVE SPLURGED FOR THESE INSTEAD)  |  BAG (BUDGET FRIENDLY)

Everybody is talking Spring vibes and I'm over here like... well, still freezing my butt off!  It's still very much winter around these parts, which means no open toes anytime soon, so today a little realness in winter dressing.

Ottawa is known for very cold winters, so if you're coming for a visit between December and March, you need to be prepared.  A warm winter jacket is an absolute must, but layering is key if you're going to be out in the elements for longer than just running to and from the car.  I threw on a shearling vest underneath my jacket for added warmth--when the jacket is worn open, it adds an element of interest and cool layering vibes.  Done up, and it's functional and warm.

Boots are a must, and if you're battling the elements, as much as a I love a good ankle boot, the flat over the knee styles are great for added warmth and tromping around the snowy sidewalks while still looking put together.

Lastly, the accessories--a hat will do wonders to keep the heat locked in (especially if your jacket doesn't have a hood), and the one thing you didn't inside my bag are a good pair of mitts.  I usually got for the knit variety, and have been known to layer two pairs for added warmth.

ZARA SCARF (SIMILAR OPTIONS)  |  LONG SLEEVE TOP  |  DISTRESSED DENIM  |  CHOKER

Hi ladies!  Happy long weekend if you're lucky to get one, I'm working today but that means the Weekend Recap is up!

This weekend was a busy one, on Friday night Marco and I decided to copy last weekend, and headed out for sushi.  Afterwards we vegged on the couch and called it an early night...

Happy Sunday ladies!  Today I'm feeling totally lazy, but did spend two hours cleaning the condo this morning--still more to do, laundry to get to, and my desk is a bit of a disaster, but taking a little break to share some amazing deals happening around the web.

First up, my sneakers are not budget friendly, but I do like to mention when they go on sale and right now the peach/nude colour is marked down!  They run true to size and are fairly flat inside, but so comfortable.

Speaking of sneakers, just snagged these (size down a full size).

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  SWEATER -- NOW UNDER $20! (ALSO IN BLUE)  |  DISTRESSED DENIM  |  OVER THE KNEE BOOTS  |  BAG (BUDGET FRIENDLY OPTION)  |  F21 CHOKERS (SIMILAR BAR & O-RING)

Hi ladies, today's look is an easy throw-on-and-go look, that looks way more pulled together than it actually is.  This winter, I have been all about sweaters and skinny jeans, then switching things up between an ankle bootie or an over the knee boot.  Throw on a choker and you're stylish and on trend--simple.
