I'll be honest, I wasn't super sure I'd get a ton of use out of these boots--they are beautiful, but they are not black or tan.  That said, I've already styled them with a dress and in a fun way for fall with a hat and scarf, and that's just on the blog.  Plus, when I started hunting around for similar pairs to share with you girls, there are so many burgundy options out there, these were definitely a great purchase.

This look makes me think of date night, or Valentine's Day--I love mixing pinks and reds, and this is a little easier with the blush and burgundy.  It's soft and pretty, but the denim keeps it grounded.  Also, since this sweater (which is now sold out--I'm sorry!) has such a deep v, I paired it with a bralette which is way prettier if it happens to peek out, plus really comfortable.  I wouldn't say it's the route you'd want to take if you're looking to create major cleavage, but I prefer the subtlety of it when you're showing a lot of skin.

Happy Monday!  Hope you ladies had a great weekend.  Mine was a mix of productive, busy + lazy; and I'd be lying if I said that one extra hour we got for daylight savings wasn't appreciated!

On Friday night, after a few hours of binge watching The Walking Dead, we did a one hour power clean of the condo.  Marco and I divided up the tasks--I took bathrooms and laundry, and he took kitchen and the living room.  I knew we wouldn't have a ton of time over the weekend to get it all done, so it really worked out well.  Seriously, waking up to a clean house on Saturday morning (after sleeping in) was pure bliss!  #adulting

On Saturday, we went to the Ottawa Wine & Food Show, which is an annual event, people get dressed up, walk around a huge venue and buy tickets to try various wines and food.  This year it was held at a different location and it was a little disappointing, actually.  However, we made the best of it and took part in a cool cheese tasting feature they had which was delicious.

Hope you ladies are having a great weekend, just wanted to hop on here and share some great sales happening right now online.  Additionally, Nordstrom is having their fall clearance sale so several items I tried on & purchased during the anniversary sale back in July are now marked down, so I'm sharing my favourites below.

Bell sleeves are having a major moment this one I've had my eye on is now on sale, love this one that laces up the back and I'm loving this one in the dark grape and oatmeal colours.

The plan from Pisa was to head out to Cinque Terre, a picturesque town we had never been to.  However, since we aren't planners, and were booking our accommodations as we went, we couldn't find anything that looked great.  After hours of searching over dinner, and back in our hotel room, Marco asked how I'd feel about going back to Florence for one more night.  I was totally down.

If you couldn't tell, Florence is a favourite for both of us and since we had lost our luggage and spent our only full day there on a wine tour, the thought of getting a little more QT with the city was just what the Doctor ordered.

We packed our bags and hoped on (the wrong) train in the morning--which may or may not have been my fault--and eventually made it to the city in the early afternoon.

First stop: paninis on the street!

Happy November--hard to believe it's here!  We had the best weather yesterday, sunny and in the double (Celsius) digits; I could get used to this.  That said, I've been spending a ton of time inside, binge watching The Walking Dead--which is something Marco has been trying to get me to watch for four years, and I finally gave in to and am obsessed.  Every night we have been watching 3+ episodes and I cannot get enough.  I'm not a zombie-show kind of girl, or at least I didn't think I was, but am totally hooked!

Onto the outfit, this is a total easy go-to for the weekends for me.  I am loving basic pieces and slowly starting to invest in more of them because they are what I grab the most.  These Free People long sleeve tops are so good I'm contemplating buying this year's style in the same colour because I love it that much (already have and love it in olive green).  The way they fall, drape and fit is perfect.  Per usual, the brand runs large so I sized down to a small (I'm normally a medium).
