Outfit deets:
* Dynamite top (from my first vlog) which you've also seen in bright azule (and something I picked up for my 'Wardrobe Classics', vlog).
* Aldo wedges (old) that are a staple for me. Seen also with a pretty printed dress (that no longer fits me; wah!), pink denim pants (a favourite outfit post) and a neon green-yellow sundress.
* Accessories: MK watch, Aldo necklace & Suzy bracelet.
Happy Friday!
I'm so excited for the weekend. I have a date tonight which I am stoked for. Tomorrow is a sleep-in day and relaxing and then my BFF's sister's stag in the evening. Sunday is open for now, but that likely won't last (and there is always Dexter, of course, on Sunday nights).
Have a super weekend!

Outfit deets:
* Talbots top which I purchased in Florida at TJ Maxx for $14.99 and seen here in my shopping recap post
* Bongo pants which I have owned for at least three years and am finally wearing them... last seen here with booties and here with stripes. I seriously didn't wear these for years, they sat in my closet, brand new and I remember thinking, 'I love these pink pants, but they are a little"out there" for me to actually wear'. In fact, I thought that as I purchased them, but boy oh boy am I glad I did!
* Aldo wedges which are from 2007 but my second pair as they went on super sale at the end of the season so I scooped up another pair (hence why these look practically brand new; they are!). I used the first (well worn) pair for a cool studded DIY project (you can see them here in action).
* Jewelery: Auslini bangle which was a birthday gift last year from a friend that is my favourite, Pandora bracelet and a ring from The Bay.
I've been having some serious Internet issues. So serious I haven't posted in two days which frustrates the hell outta me. Wah wah.
But seriously, my blogger account has run out of juice...er...space to hold photos (has this happened to you?!) and now I have to use Flickr, which isn't that bad except I can't seem to upload my photos to Flickr when I'm at home... and I can't do it from work because, hell-o, I'm working (and the the site is blocked) so it's been very frustrating.
On top of that, the Internet connection I have been pirating in my apartment building has recently been locked and (woe is me) I have been forced to get a connection of my own. I'm using my iPhone to tether the connection to my laptop and as it turns out, the connection isn't what you would exactly call lightening speed.
However, I can't complain as it is faster but I can complain about Blogger, Flickr, my lacking graphic design skills and the weather (I know you melted all the snow, Mother Nature, and you're awesome but could you send some warm weather this way, please?).
Rant over.
A couple fun Instagram shots below. ...because I'm obsessed.

I seem to be one of those people that others like to strike up a conversation with. I'm not sure what it is, but it happens all-the-time. And I'm so 'nice' I just go with it, and will end up having full conversations with strangers so as to not be 'rude'. What's up with that? I mean, if we want to get morbid, typically women can be victimized based on that quality, so it's always something to keep in the back of your head, but, back to what I was saying... so while shooting this outfit, thinking I was in a fairly desolate place, sure enough an older man comes walking out from behind this building with his miniature dog. First he looked at me, then he was just plain staring, and by the time he got close he must have felt that urge that people feel when they see me, he just had to strike up a conversation. He started slewing out facts about what the building I was standing up against used to be (a mink farm), and how much they used to pay in rent monthly ($10k), and how this one family owned it for years (since the 1800's). All the while I politely smiled and nodded and acted very interested. Meanwhile, I was actually freezing as I'd taken off my overcoat at this time and it was only 4 degrees Celcius. He finally walked away and I jumped back into my heated car and drove off. Sheesh.
How fab is this green wall? I was heading to the graffiti wall and this
is on one end of the same building (freshly painted) so I totally took advantage.
Remember when I wore that pretty (brand new) polka-dotted dress to work for the first time and it ripped right up the back seam to expose my butt? Remember how I ran to the store at 9am and bought a skirt to cover it up? Here it is.
{ such a nice dress, so maddening }
{ the hole - a whopping 10 inches }
{ makin' it work ... somehow }

I snapped this pictures super quick on my lunch hour as the camera battery flashed, and flashed and flashed until it gave up. I'm super surprised at how many 'not bad' pictures I got - score.
So I started a new job this week and it's been going really well, but hey, really, we are only on day three, but I'm super optimisitc about this. I was pretty unhappy where I was before, stuck it out for a year and a half, and was still miserable. It's so draining when you are unhappy at work. Not only does it affect your view on going to work, it actually takes a toll on your whole life. I was literally going into work backwards and counting the minutes till the end of the day. I tried to do my best, but being unhappy does something to you. The people I worked with were great though and gave me a super sweet pizza lunch on my last day, complete with well wishes and a few gifts (how sweet is that!?). All in all to say, sunny skies ahead and I'm really excited about this new chapter in my life.
{ this picture makes me look pear-shaped... and although I'm not, I sometimes wish I was }
I found this fabulous navy blue (sorry, I forgot to take a pic) tray at a local thrift store a couple months before the wedding. I thought it would be great for something, and potentially as something on our (orange) candy buffet. I immediately bought it (for $2) and brought it home. I picked up some neon orange (like my wedding shoes) spray paint and went to work. We ended up using the tray to host the little plastic bags we put out for people to put their candy in and it worked out perfectly!
{ dollar store stickers}
{ at the wedding - we used it to hold the candy bags for the buffet }
Sometimes, in the office, we get a theme going for our clothing. One week we had a specific colour to wear each day, one day was stripes, today was polka dots. It's really neat when people participate. Being the festive girl I am, I couldn't pass up the perfect opportunity to rock my new tiered polka dot top (and of course I doubled up with this sash I've had forever). Unfortunately, the participation rate wasn't that high this time around or I would have gotten a picture of everyone to show you all.
In other news, Thursday evening I went to see Sex & The City 2! I met up with my good friend (CG) and we hit up the 7:30pm show. It was busy, but not too packed and we had perfect seats. The movie was great, the fashion was good and the accessories were inspiring. A must see for all die-hards (but obviously, you're going anyways!) - enjoy the show!
