Does Your Partner Influence Your Fashion Choices?

Outfit deets:
* Jacob dress (thrifted) which you have seen once before with a pink cardigan (one of my favourite outfit posts, actually).
* Payless nude pumps (new!) that I picked up recently and absolutely love (and get a ton of compliments on).  They also have a rubber bottom so it makes walking in them super easy.  I want these next!
* eBay necklace that is no longer available but here is a similar metallic orange one and another one in turquoise (currently sold out but you can request to be notified when they re-stock it).

Dress to impress him... or yourself?

This is something I've given quite a bit of thought to lately.  In my previously relationship, I didn't care what he thought, I wore what I liked and he usually liked it too.  Now, I know there were certain things he wasn't a fan of (leggings) so I typically avoided those when we would be doing something together (despite my love for them), but generally, I didn't really care.  My body, my style, my choice.

To this day that stays true.

However.

Sometimes I know I'm wearing something kind of man repelling and certainly not for the guys (hello, it's for me and tha ladies);  but at the same time, I don't want to dress in something someone I'm dating will find unattractive, either.

Has your style changed due to your relationship?

Who do you typically dress for (other than yourself)?  Women or men?

I might wear something more often if my bf happens to point out that he likes it, but other than that, I dress for me (and comfort!).

I relate to what you said - I definitely dress for me and not for my husband! He definitely doesn't like certain things and has no problem telling me, but often they're trendy and I just have to ignore him. :) That said, I usually try not to wear stuff he hates when we're going on a date or hanging out with his friends. I want him to be proud of me when we're together! I still wear the other stuff....just to dinner with the girls or shopping on a Saturday!

"certainly not for the guys (hello, it's for me and tha ladies)" made me laugh out loud because its so true - I always want girls to think I look nice, and don't really care what boys think.

I think there are certain things I wear/don't wear because of my boyfried. Out of respect for myself and him, I try not to draw too much attention to my chest (it does that by itself). He makes fun of my beauty things sometimes (ring finger polished different, heidi braids) but as long as I think I look cute, its all that matters :)

You are F#%king wow (Please excuse the language), I cant say that there would be anything that would be offensive on you.
If the dude you are seeing cannot accept your choice in clothing, who knows, then it will be remarks about attitude. IMO, and I don't want to cause stir so apologies. Wear what you like and he needs to accept it, as it is part of you.
Don't change.
(on the right stature person) I personally like seeing women with leggings. Shows curves on a woman and if she is comfortable, I'm comfortable.
Just my thoughts on the subject.

Have a great day, and don't F#$king change!
