Suzy belt, Jacob necklace, Givenchy fishnets & H&M headband
I was saving this dress for a special occasion, some exciting holiday party, a wedding, something ... other than work. Then I remembered my before-New-Years-resolution and decided to make it work for work. I put a black tee underneath, which I think 90% of the people who saw me thought it was part of the dress, including hubs. Mainly though, the dress got tons of love from coworkers, friends and strangers and I didn't feel so bad about wearing it on an ordinary day.

It does make it look like part of the dress! Great idea :)
Great dress with the tee underneath. I wore a cocktail dress to work by putting a shirt underneath and no-one noticed.
Good for you for not keeping things for best.
loving your dress xxxx
i love how you transformed it for work :)
Super cute and very work appropriate with the extra layer. I have a Monsoon dress I'm in love with that's a bit too strapless and dressy to pull off during the day. I wear a black All Saints short tuxedo jacket over it with black tights and ballet flats to dress it down and that seems to do the trick. Might try a black tee under it now that I've seen how successful your combo worked out. :)
i LOVE this outfit! what a great idea and you make it work so well.
so cute! i absolutely love the tee on underneath. you look so pretty!

very cute! Nice work! I love it, I don't think I could wear that to my office though, they are kinda naziish about looking conservative but this is REALLY pretty. Love it! and go you for switching it up. PS your hair is great.
Loving your layering per usual! You make that dress, like, seriously covetable.
xx
such an amazing dress to wear to work! Love pairing a tee underneath just to change things up and through people off! :)
