Sometimes I ask my BFF Sarah to rap for me and she comes up with some pretty entertaining rhymes.  I took a few screen shots of various ones she's sent me and cropped them so I could share with you.  It's pure comic relief and she clearly has mad skills.

Want to join in?  Leave your best rap in the comments (haha!).

Happy Friday!

Today I leave for Dominican Republic!  And since we are going for a week, I packed 11 'night-time' outfits.  Naturally.

Anyone who said packing was easy is lying.  Or maybe I just am really, extra terrible at it.

Whatever.

The bottom line is, it's done and I'm happy with my oufits.  Ha.

I love to dress up my shorts at night with a fancier top, but threw in a few dresses and skirts aswell.  I tried to create new outfits I haven't worn before but creatively use things I already owned.  Since I was recently in Vegas, and styled many of my favourite outfits for that trip, I wanted to try to take different items for this trip.

However, you might recognize that aqua, gauzy skirt from Vegas, the heart romper from the same trip and the pink shorts/black fox top combo from a night out this summer.

Here are some photos of what else is coming along with me...

Daytime outfits.

More daytime outfits (wink).
(The large hats were purchased for my sister's bridal shower, so I'm stoked to have 'em).

Heels for night time.

Outfit deets:
* Smart Set sweater & cami (both old).
* Dynamite tuxedo pant (new!).
* Accessories:  H&M necklace, Old Navy bangle & Lia Sophia ring.

So last night I put a good dent into my packing for Domincan.  I spent hours styling outfits, laying them out on my bed, accessorizing, etc.  I'm a terrible packer and if I don't style my outfits, I will simply throw all of my favourite items into a suitcase and call it a trip.  Problem with that is, all my favourite items equal about 3/4 of my closet... and that doesn't fit in a suitcase... so...

I will be sharing with you tomorrow what I packed, from nighttime looks to bikinis to shoes.  I'm so excited to go away, lie on the beach (slathered in sunscreen) and just relax.

Have a great day!

Outfit deets:
* Gap jacket (old) and seen over a denim jacket & LBD, also with black skinnies & a no-knit scarf, with a black & blue striped skirt, and with a navy dress that I love but is far to short on me.
* Joe Fresh sweater cardigan which I recently thrifted (video coming soon).
* Winners top (old).
* H&M waxed pants (from my trip to Vegas) which I la-la-love & wore recently for (Canadian) Thanksgiving.
* H by Halston cap-toe heels (also from Vegas) and Ardene black & gold flats.
* Accessories:  Mexx snood, unknown necklace & Swarovski bangle.

It was so bitterly cold and windy the day I took these photos, the ones without my jacket didn't turn out, hence the lack of photos without a jacket.  Sawry.

Life has been so incredibly crazy, hectic and exciting lately.  Sure, it's not all roses (no one's life is), but I am pretty freakin' thankful for all the great stuff that's been happening to me.  After going through such a terrible year and a half, it feels like my life is finally back on the right path and I feel happy again.  It's nice.

This weekend I'm leaving for the Dominican Republic with some friends and am so excited!  We will be gone for a week and staying at an all-inclusive and I seriously need to get some laundry done.  Tonight is going to be laundry, planning and packing.  I'm going to try my hardest to get a post up about what I'm packing as I like to style my outfits in an effort to avoid over-packing (hahaha, riiight).

C'mon weekend, vacation I'm looking forward to you!

On Saturday, I was whisked away to Montreal for a photoshoot for the 2012 Holiday Campaign for Place d'Orleans (a mall in my city; the one I am the Fashion Vlogger with).  As in, I'm going to be the face of the Christmas campaign.  What!?

This doesn't happen to me.

I am not a model.

Did this just happen!?

The day was so exciting; it was a real photoshoot with a professional photographer, stylist, make-up artist, crew, snow machine, and more.  It was surreal!

From the moment I arrived, everyone was so sweet and hospitable, making me feel almost instantly comfortable (but I was a little nervous, to be honest).  They sat me in the hair and make-up chair and I was pampered from head to toe.  About an hour later, I was dressed, hair did, nails painted and full make-up ready to go.  They put on some more upbeat music than the cool-chill vibe stuff they had on and we got started.

The first look was a Limité bustier, Jacob skirt & Le Chateau fur stole clipped with some sparkly barrets.  It looked beautiful, but I felt a little exposed (ha!).  Everyone was so encouraging and while I have never really modelled before, I did enjoy my experience.  The second outfit was my favourite, a black and gold sequined dress from Le Chateau that fit me like a glove and I felt very comfortable in.  They had me dance around while 'snow' was falling on me (I say 'snow' because it was more like foam from a bubble bath that smelt like plastic).

I'd love to share some photos with you...

The moment I arrived I snapped this pic and it started to set in that it was about to get real!

 Hair & make-up tools on Tomoko's table.

All these shoes and accessories for me (heaven!).

After curling and pinning my hair into pin-curls, Tomoko started my make-up.

Stylist Patricia organizing all the clothing she pulled and brought to the shoot.

Getting the set ready (my view from the hair chair).

Once I was dressed in my first outfit, Tomoko gave me a dark lip (perfect for fall!).  She was so cute and stood on a stool so we'd be eye to eye!

Being styled (and looking angry, but I promise I'm not!).

It's snowing indoors!

The crew and photographer checking out some shots mid-shoot.

More make-up and different hair for the second outfit.

Ready to go.

Checking out some of the frames.
The photographer told me she took 148 frames of the second outfit (with me dancing) and I gave her a different shot every. single. time.  She said she doesn't even get that from professional models!  #proudmoment

The photographer, Patrizia Castiglione, & I.

The campaign is set to go live mid-late November and I will be featured on the mall doors and decals, the website, them all brochure and transit stops.  I could not be more excited and grateful for such a cool experience.  Everyone was so positive, warm and gave me great feedback during the shoot, it was a real success!  Thank you Place d'Orleans, I had a blast.

That's a wrap!

Today I am heading to Montreal for a photo shoot and am so excited!  It has something to do with my vlogger gig, but I'm not sure I can say anymore at this time.

I was up bright and early (for a Saturday) and am currently on the train.  It will be a long day of shooting but it's so fun.  I've never done a professional photo shoot before and am going to be getting hair and make-up done and will be styled as well!  Cool, 'eh?

I'll try to get some snaps 'behind-the-scenes' to share with you, if I can.  Wish me luck!

Outfit deets:  H&M jacket (thrifted), Winners sweater, H&M tank, Sirens leggings, Rampage boots, Aldo purse (green), Mat & Nat bag & Gucci shades.

On Wednesday afternoon, I left work early and went to Montreal to see The Weeknd in concert.  The show was awesome, the venue was really cool too and just going in itself was such a treat.  We stayed at the Mariott Resident Inn, which was within a short walking distance for the shopping we did on Thursday (more on that later).  For now, I'd love to share some photos with you...

Heading to MTL.

Concert outfit.
Outfit deets:  Zara dress & "Bekket" hi-tops.

Wednesday night: turkey dinner (I had just been craving it one day earlier!)  |  Shopping outfit for Thursday.
