My sister got married on Saturday and it was such a crazy, busy but extremely fun weekend.  This post is wedding heavy but there is just too much to not share.  You can find more photos on my Instagram.

Cheers!

The bridesmaids, my mom and I, spent Friday morning preparing these
tasty red velvet cupcakes-in-a-jar favours for the wedding.
We ran out of cupcakes so my sister was baking more that morning!

Sweet champagne flutes the bride designed for her bridesmaids.
We took these to our hair appointment the morning of the wedding to have mimosas.

Caroline, at Noir Salon, did my hair and killed it.
I was so pleased with how it turned out, even better than my inspiration photo!

The finished product.  Ah-mazing (I even slept on it and wore it to brunch the next day).

From the salon, we went back to my sister's place to get dressed.
I did my own make up (the bride requested a smokey purple eye),
the bride got dressed and we headed to the ceremony.
Outfit deets:  Alfred Sung dress, Paris Hilton heels (similar), Silk flower bouquets from Morgann Hill Designs.

 Married!

During photos, the Best Man and I came up with a plan to switch shoes to enter the reception.
The photographer caught the moment (haha!).

We hit up a skate park after the formal photos and the newlyweds
switched their shoes for some more fun shots.

We rode around in style, thanks to the bride & groom's excellent taste (and budget!).

In the limo celebrating with champagne.

 First dance.

The favours turned out so well (missing: the thin black ribbon & black spoon tied to the jar) and were a huge hit.

 Having fun in the photobooth.

 Three words:  midnight. poutine. buffet.

Stealing a moment during the busy reception...

Congratulations Lisa & Adam!

4am at the Ottawa airport, Thursday morning.
Outfit deets:  Gap denim jacket (DIY'ed), H&M tank, Max Studio skirt & Rachel Roy pashmina.

Going to Las Vegas with my bestie, Sarah, last week/weekend was amazing.

We walked a ton (we did at least 10km the first day.  Ouch!), shopped even more, ate great food, saw the I Heart Radio concert and just enjoyed being on vacation.  We stayed at the NYNY hotel which had the comfiest beds ever and was right on the strip (and across from the MGM Grand).

It was a quick four days and while some people say that is more than enough, I personally feel as though we only scratched the surface of Vegas.  I can easily say I would love to go back.

I took a ton of photos (and several videos but that still needs to be edited together before I can share with you) and would love to share...

At the Las Vegas airport after about 15 hours of traveling.

First Vegas meal:  Chicken tortilla salad at America in the NYNY hotel.

A special Moet (and fancy cheese plate) surprise awaited us when we got to our room (!!!).

Bright and early on our first day we woke up at 5:30am and made our way
to breakfast at 7:30am.  We had steak & eggs (for $5.95!) at Pampas.

Our hotel from afar.

After breakfast we spent the day shopping (and walking the strip).
Outfit deets:  F21 romper (that was Sarah's and she gave to me! Yay!), Bamboo gladiator sandals & Foster Grant shades.

We grabbed a quick NY pizza dinner at our hotel before the concert on Friday night.

Ready for the I Heart Radio concert!
Outfit deets:  La Senza top, Costa Blanca skirt & clutch and Aldo wedges.

On Saturday morning we headed out for breakfast and more shopping.
Outfit deets:  Lola romper (new from Vegas!), Spring gladiator sandals & Target bandeau swimsuit top.

We ate a late breakfast at Zingers: worst. french. toast. ever. (for realz)

 The strip from a walk-overpass.

After spending over eight hours shopping, we were too exhausted to go back to our hotel to get ready for dinner, so we just went straight to eat at Diego (in the MGM Grand).  Afterwards, we went to Fiamma for dessert and tea (and where this picture was taken).

Combo plate at Diego:  chicken enchillada, fish taco & beef burrito.

Dessert & tea at Fiamma (tiramisu for me!).

On our last day we got up early to get breakfast and take a walk down the strip.
Then it was onto the airport to catch our 11am flight.
Outfit deets:  Sirens lace top & shorts, Garage tank, Bamboo gladiator sandals & nameless bag (from Winners).

 Steak & eggs (again).

Sad to be leaving Vegas, despite our smiles.
Outfit deets:  Sirens top & leggings, H&M tank & Bamboo gladiator sandals.

These peanut butter cookies have kind of become 'my thing', especially around the office.

Since they are such a fan favourite and so easy (and gluten free!), I thought I would share the recipe (ahem, thank you Kraft).

Peanut Butter Cookies
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg

Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

Mix ingredients with mixer. Form into little balls and place on cookie sheet. Flatten slightly with a fork. Bake for 8-12 minutes. Enjoy!
Outfit deets:
* Urban Planet top (new!) and picked this up when I was shopping prior to filming my Vlogger entry video (I paid for this myself).
*Smart Set cami.
* Sirens pants which I've had forever and are actually long enough for me to wear with heels.
* Payless heels which you have seen with a black & white striped dress (and can I just say I feel like I'm in flats in these shoes?  They are awesome).
* Accessories:  Stitches necklace, Suzy ring, F21 bangle & Gucci sunnies.

Life is ca-razy right now.  I just got back from Vegas (amazing times!) and my apartment is a disaster, I haven't even unpacked yet but did manage to get some other stuff done.  Work is busy busy and I'm playing catch up.  My sister is getting married this weekend and my Grandpa just landed in the hospital.  Needless to say, things are quite hectic.

I haven't had a chance to go through my Vegas photos yet, but I have been posting some on Instagram if you care to check that out.  And in other exciting news, I'm meeting my new boss for my Vlogging gig today for lunch to sign my contract and discuss everything (exciting!).  Otherwise, I'll do my best to get those up and hope you're having a great week so far!
