{ 'Red Tape' by Wet 'n' Wild }

I recently discovered Wet 'n' Wild's new 'Megalast' nail polish line and I have to say I'm quite impressed.  Now, you know how much I love OPI, but at $10 a bottle, you better really love that nail colour.  The secret though, is in the brush.  I've tried to convert back to cheaper polishes, but, the brushes are so skimpy that the enamel doesn't go on smoothly, takes several swipes per nail, gets bubbly, etc.  These ones from WNW have a super wide brush (just like OPI) and the polish isn't thick so it goes on nice and smooth (reminds me a bit of Zoya, which I also like).  The only downside?  This line only has about 20 colours.  I know, perhaps you are thinking, 'What? Just 20 colours?!' in a sarcastic tone, but when you own most general colours (you know, dark red, bright pink, burgundy, dark pink, etc.) from OPI, the last thing you want to do is dish our more cash for the same colour.  However, I'll take what I can get (for now) because at $2 bucks a bottle, it's a steal.

I decided to make pumpkin bread (my first attempt, ever) and although it didn't quite turn out great psentation wise (when I went to flip the bread out of the pan, half of it stuck in the pan, despite greasing it.  I don't think I baked it long enough, as the middle was a little gooey), it tasted so great.  I'm a huge fan of pumpkin, especially in the fall, it's so festive!  However, next time I'm going to replace all that sugar though, with apple sauce and see if it turns out as well.  Finally, there was some left over batter which I poured into my mini-muffin tins and they turned out perfectly.

Went out shopping the other day and rocked one of my new (fave) jackets. I can't get enough.  On another note, my bff was rockin' her socks above her boots alllllll last year and I tried to tweet (her) a photo of me coppin' her style, but my photos + twitter were not working for the life of me.  I decided to roll these over-the-knee socks down and keep 'em mid-knee.  The shopping trip was less than successful (just bought a couple necklaces and a couple Christmas gifts - yes, Christmas gifts) but hey, probably for the better.

Congratulations to Kate of Fashion's Maven for winning the CSN gift card Give-Away!

Thank you to everyone who entered!

When the air turns crisp and the leaves start to change colour, it's a sign that fall is here.  I like to make the transition into fall by switching it up to my more 'cool-weather' perfums.  I'm always drawn to two scents:  spicy for fall/winter, and citrusy for spring/summer.  Of course there are other notes I enjoy, but the latter are often my immediates.  I also find perfume holds crazy nostalgia and sometimes, after a season of wearing a certain scent, you never want to wear it again, or, everytime you wear it, it doesn't seem right because that time in your life has past and you need something different (too deep?).  However, for me, this is my third fall and when I broke out my two fave scents, I will still as in love with them as the last two years.
