So I've done it. I've officially broke my own shoe rule. Since high school I've refused to wear sandals until April 1st. Which really, for a climate where we sometimes have snow into April, isn't that alarming. However, the weather has been so mild and nice lately that I couldn't resist one of my favourite combos (flared jeans & wedges). I mean, I think the transition this year has been much easier due to a few factors anyways:
I've been wearing open-toe shoes all winter, with tights
The weather is spring-like when it normally wouldn't be
Almost all the snow has melted and the roads are dry

This weekend I had my birthday party and it was such a great night. I invited my favourite girls over for a night of eating, drinking and socializing. I think everyone had a great time, I certainly did! Thank you so much to LC, KC, PK, JM, SS, SL, CG, NB for making my birthday so wonderful and memorable. <3

I found this over at dot-dot-dot and found it really insightful. My favourites are, "Ask for help with jobs you dislike," and, "Prepare for the morning the night before". As a chronic 'late-person', I'm always running around at the last minute, trying to get organized. I hate making people wait, but for some reason, I still do it. It stresses me when I'm running late and even more when I know people are waiting for me.
One of my favourite things on the weekend is having a late, lazy breakfast. We both love waffles, so my fiancée will make the batter, and I'll cook 'em - that's the deal. This time, we added blueberries. It was extra good with mini blueberry explosions with each bite.

About four years ago, I scored big time on a couple bikinis from, surprisingly, La Senza. It was the first time they came out with a swim line and I was stoked. Since then, they have had no swimwear. Imagine my (delightful) surprise when I walked in there today to find (ah-ha!) a s|s 2010 swim line! This might have something to do with Victoria Secret recently buying the company - and I sure am glad they did. The stuff is gorgeous and the prices are super affordable. At $19.95/piece, it's hard not to buy each and every piece!
I, for one, resisted my urges to purchase many, and picked up one (hot pink) swimsuit with my gift card from AT (birthday gift)!
