Yesterday was Thanksgiving (and technically, today is too) and we had a huge feast at my in-laws place.  My MIL never fails to impress.  She cooked up all the favourites, including a new favourite, sweet potatoe pie (ever had it?).  There was nine of us and we all stuffed ourselves to the brim.  That's what Thanksgiving is about, right?  For dessert, again, she outdid herself and had four (!) desserts: pumpkin pie, brownies, pumpkin carrot cake and my personal fave (and request), coconut cream pie.  Yum!  Tonight we are going over for leftovers (how can you not?  And turkey is my favourite!) and I'm already pumped.

I am by no means a golfer, however, I pretend to be once a year at hub's annual family golf tournament.  This took place this weekend and I actually played better than ever.  And by better than ever, I mean better than I've played in the tournament for the past five years because that's the only time I golf.

My mom made the sweetest suggestion to my sister and I that we have a girls dinner before the wedding.  Sort of a, 'Last girls dinner before Amanda gets married' - isn't that so sweet?  At the last minute, she asked if my Dad should come, but we decided to keep it just the girls.  It worked out nicely too as she planned it for the night M was out of town for his (second) bachelor party.  We went to Milestones (one of my fave restaurants) and had a delicious dinner.  Afterwards, we headed back to my sister's place for some wine and chatter.  It was a fabulous night - thank you, Mom!

My parents are bikers.  And I don't mean cyclists, I mean Harley riding bad-ass bikers.  Well, not that bad-ass I guess, but my Dad sure does look bad-ass all suited up.  Before heading out to a surprise birthday party for a family friend, I asked my Dad to snap a few pics in their, 'Harley Room' - this is a room that is fully insulated in their garage that my Dad built - it's pretty sweet.  Complete with mini garage door and regular door to enter through, it serves a great purpose as a home to both their bikes.  It's also decorated very nicely with tons of Harley memorabila and all their riding gear.
