What a weekend! It ended up being quite packed and I did a whole bunch of random and social stuff. It was so nice to be out with friends for various outings and finally be enjoying some beautiful weather. I'd love to share some--er, many--photos with you:
On Friday I finally took my floral denim out for a spin (aka to work) and was really feeling this look. I took these shots in the fitting room at Joe Fresh on my lunch hour (Sarah and I decided to skip our workout on Friday). I picked up a bra-top/sports bra that was on sale for $7 and that was it.
Outfit deets: Garage denim jacket, Dynamit top, Aeropostale denim, Aldo wedges & thrifted necklace.
Friday night, five of us hit up a new spot in town called, El Camino. It's a taco restaurant that is totally hipster. We sat at the funky bar but at a jut-out so as if we were at a hi-top table all facing one-another. I had three tacos: fish x2 and pork and both were really good. The cracked pepper calamari was awesome and their salsa is killing it too. Afterwards, we all walked a few blocks to a pool hall and played long into the night.
Outfit deets: Garage denim jacket (same as above), Joe Fresh top, Bench denim shorts & Sam Edelman wedges (still available HERE).
Saturday morning breakfast out at a different spot where I used to frequent with a girl friend a while back. Unfortunately this trip was less than great with terrible service and cold food.
Saturday afternoon.
Outfit deets: Maison Scotch tee (new!), Sirens shorts, Bamboo sandals (old, but also seen during my trip to Punta Cana) & Urban Expressions bag.
More after the jump...
I decided to take advantage of the beautiful Saturday weather and go for a 4km run in the late afternoon. I never work out on the weekends but brought my stuff home from work justin case.
After showering and changing, I threw on my new sandals--from the Ardène sale section, 3 for $10, I know-- and hit the mall for some evening shopping.
I was shopping for my next Place d'Orleans (PDO) Vlog which will be based around summer-time activities. I scored several great items but you will have to stay tuned for the video.
I got together with the man later that night and since I was anticipating that, I threw my Zara heels, a clutch and my mint denim jacket in the car.
We had oysters, drinks and the best burger I've ever had at Luxe Bistro while sitting on their new, beautifully revamped patio. Two friends joined later on and we had a blast ending the night around 1am.
Outfit deets: Dynamite jacket, Cynthia Rowley tee, Urban Planet lace shorts, Zara heels & American Eagle clutch.
Sunday morning.
Grabbed a current fave: McDonald's iced coffee (sugar-free made with milk instead-version) on my way home (they're only a dollar, all summer!).
Fathers' Day brunch at my grandparent's senior's residence happened on Sunday, which was awesome. The food there is so freakin' good/
Outfit deets: Olsen Europe blazer, Old Navy tank (seen HERE in grey), Parasuco denim & Ardène flats (new!).
My boyfriend sent me for a mani/pedi last week and since I was going directly from work, and only had closed toe heels on that day, I ran to Ardène after work to pick up a pair of sandals. I bought the Boho Coin gladiators but since they were 2 for $20, these leopard cap-toes came home with me too.
I stopped at a different mall on my way home and Joshua Perets is having a huge 50% off sale right now. Normally this only happens once a year (Boxing Day, where it's been my number one spot for the past five years) but I got lucky yesterday. Here is a sneak peek of one of the three things I purchased.
See a few of the items I own from Boxing Day Purchases 2011 & 2012.
Just having some fun styling my mannequin. A new take on the uber hot denim vest trend; style it over your other jacket.
