Dunkin Donuts 'Cool Latta' - I drank a few of these. We don't have Dunkin Donuts in Canada and these are way better than Iced Caps from Tim Hortons. Oh, and btw, that's a medium. Love those Americans.
During my trip to Florida, I kept a bit of a photo diary with my iPhone whenever I could. Sometimes I didn't bring my camera with me (shocker) or only had a second to snap a quick shot. I'm missing the warm weather a ton but the snow here is melting and despite temperatures being below zero still, Spring is on it's way.
Daytona Beach
The cart from my trip to Ross with my mom. That store is amazing and we clearly don't have that in Canada, either.
A solo evening at the beach.
My favourite beer which often comes 2-for-1 at many restaurants (another fantastic American thing). The one on the left was from my dinner at the Washington airport on my way home. Ending my trip and keepin' it classy: a solo beer and burger.
One morning, during my run, there were tons of seagulls congregated on the beach, just standing around. I stopped running, pulled my iPhone from my armband and snapped a shot.
Daytona Bike Week (psst, spot the dog?)
Various Beach Shots
Clockwise from top left: (1) Peanut butter M&M's (2) Buffalo Chicken Sandwich from Chili's (my fave) (3) Side Ceaser Salad from Chili's (4) Chips & bean dip from Chili's (5) My almost-everyday breakfast, toast with peanut butter and banana and a huge glass of milk (6) Chips and salsa from El Toucan (7) My Dad checking out how they make Salt Water Taffee in Daytona Beach (8) Chicken Enchilladas from El Toucan (9) Candy Apples in Daytona Beach (10) Cowboy Burger from AppleBee's (11) Steak dinner (which was horrible so I exchanged it for number nine) at AppleBee's
Looks like you had a fabulous trip, A! We don't have dunkin' donuts here in Hawaii either.. at least not on Maui.. I think the last time I had something from there was a few years back when I was in Cali... And isn't shopping at Ross fun? Sometimes your find pretty good stuff at cheap-o prices too. :) Do you guys have something similar to Ross in Canada?
ReplyDeleteWell, the weekend is here... got any fun plans?
xx Love & Aloha
There are so many things in the states that I am super jealous of.
ReplyDeleteYour 100 THings list is great. I've really been noticing some lame-o bits of my life that are totally within my control, I'll definitely be reading the rest of that list.
As a random side note, how do you create your collages? (Of pictures I mean?) I use the online free Picnik but it's not the greatest. At this point though I'm too cheap to buy anything different and I haven't found a good free downloadable one for MAC's.
Hope your weekend is fab!
xx
Looks like you had a great time! Dunkin Donuts has the best iced coffee. You could have your parents send you a bag of coffee since you don't have one in Canada. Ross is pretty amazing, so is Marshalls, and TJ Maxx. Do you have them in Canada?
ReplyDeleteThat Dunkin Donuts pic has me insanely jealous!! It's my favorite coffee ever! (But I'm sure I already told you that) just sent the bf 2 packages of it to Iraq. (yes us east coasters all have the addiction!)
ReplyDeleteUgh these pics just make me wanna get on a plane to anywhere, Beach USA (or not usa for that matter) I know I live by the beach, but sometimes when you live somewhere it loses the relaxation factor cause you're not getting away from your life. I am thinking a girls weekend by the pool in Vegas...asap!

I'm curious . . . you seem to be constantly travelling, buying clothing/shoes and going out to eat. How do you afford this lifestyle? Do you carry a lot of debt or are you and your huband independently wealthy?
