I'm not sure about you, but sometimes I have days where when checking out my fave blogs I crave words, a real good wordy post.  Some days, I just want to see pictures.  Some bloggers don't write enough, and leave you yearning for more.  Some write too much, which you either enjoy ,as it's a sneak peek into their life, or it's just too much and you skip over it.  Today I'm going to give you a real wordy post.  Sometimes a girl just need to do that.

So, hubs and I went out to lunch today and it was so fantastic.  He has been working so much lately in his new job (so much as in six days a week, fourteen hour days, opposite hours and never seeing each other - I'm serious), which we knew would be the case and it's important, but I miss him so much!  Sure, I can pop into his work now and again for a quick kiss or to see his handsome face, but it's not the same as some QT time on the couch (or in bed) with some chinese and our fave shows.  We haven't been on a date since ... our honeymoon (?!).  Seriously?  No... there was that night we went out for sushi, but still.  A girl needs a good date, more often than not, especially when you're a newlywed!

So, when my wonderful husband came home last night, and I was (actually) stilll awake, he said he was taking me out on a date on Saturday.  He had to go into work first, and I met up with him around 12:30pm and we headed for lunch (he even opened my car door for me - I seriously don't think he's done this in years).  Lunch was great, we took our time, got appeys first and then mains.  Too full for dessert.  It was, the best two hours I've had (with him) in a long, long time.  It was so nice (even if he was half falling asleep and feeling sick) to not only get out and enjoy the fall weather (super beautiful today, warm-ish but crisp, sunny and windy), but enjoy that QT I was craving.

He took these photos of me after our lunch and then I headed home, and him back to work.  Looks like another evening riding solo, and although anyone's first instinct would be to complain, I just try to be optimistic about it an think of all the things I can get done around here that I've been totally slacking on (jeeze, you'd think I didn't have any time to myself).  Hope you all have a fantastic Saturday night!

PS - I picked up this top yesterday and washed it immediately.  It was ready for wear today, and while I'm the worst for 'saving' things to be worn, not this time.  I'm wearing it immediately and feeling pretty proud (and also totally loving it).

Working Jeans

What are you wearing this weekend?
Old Navy jacket (last seen here),  Dex sweater, Suzy skirt, unknown tights,
Joe Fresh boots, H&M bangle & Mexican bracelet

Well it's official Autumn.  I know, technically it has been for almost a month, however, I've been refusing to participate, but, I finally did, and by participate, I mean throw on the tights.  You know I have mixed emotions about this one, but, I'll survive.  On a happier note, the leaves are gorgeous and I haven't documented this much and really wanted to capture some seasonal elements for you all in this post.  It's hard to believe a good chunk of the leaves have already fallen.  What's next!? Snow?

There is a new restaurant in town called La Cuisine Pacific Rim.  A mix of fine French cuisine and Asian flare, you can get it all at this hot spot.  Super chic decor with a modern element, the restaurant is cascaded with chocolate browns and light lime greens, marble bar tops and sleek tables and chairs.  The owner and head Chef used to work for the Pitsburg Steelers, and his sushi is to-die-for.
