Banana Republic dress, Vintage necklace (belonged to my great-grandmother!),
Lilliana pumps (also seen here), Suzy ring, Givernchy tights

So I've gone back on my word.  The weather went from super warm to somewhat chilly, hence, I'm back to wearing tights.  Not only does it seem appriopriate, but I haven't given my self-tanner the love it deserves and until then, the tights will reine.

Last night, my fiancĂ© and I went to check out the fab restaurant my bff works at, as a potential wedding venue.  We (sort-of) surprised her and had requested we sit in her section.  She was super happy to see us, as was I to see her (she's amazing!).  We had a fab dinner and of course she spoiled us with wine & two amazing desserts.  I stuffed myself and felt so full after, but it was a great night!  Love you beavs.

{ apple crumble with cinnamon ice cream / molten lava cake with vanilla bean ice cream ... so scrumptious! }

{ Aldo, Geringer $110 }

You don't have to splurge to be stylish and I certainly live by that motto.  I found these great booties on Aldo's site and started to drool.  Fortunately, I've found a much cheaper (and almost identical) version at Forever 21.

As I mentioned yesterday, I went to a concert last night, and it was awesome!  Not only did we get to see a fantastic concert (in a suite, none the less), we got to meet one of the band members (on his tour bus)!  Can you guess which band we saw last night, from the pictures?  Thanks so much to LT for the invite!

Urban Behaviour jacket, George striped top, Streetwear Society cardi, Stiches skirt (also seen here),
Nicole Marciano pashmina, Ardene thigh-highs, AMI boots, Garage fingerless gloves & Aldo ring

Today I went for a wedding dress fitting, just the mesculin, but it was great.  I've been debating between a couple of options and since my dress is being custom made, it's a great opportunity to really make it my own.  The fitting went extremely well and I  brought my good friend (& bridesmaid!) JM with me.  She was super helpful as we first met when I was first shopping for my wedding dress over a year ago.  Although she no longer works in the bridal industry, she certainly hasn't lost her touch.

Tonight I'm going to a concert so I have to run and get ready.  Stayed tuned for pix.

{ my fiancé thought it was imperative to get a shot of the fingerless gloves }

{ so windy! }

{ I didn't realize I was pulling my cardi up in this shot, but like how it turned out }

{ circle scarf }

I've wanted a circle scarf for a while now, but didn't want to pay the price that went along with one from a store.  So, I headed to my closest fabric store, picked up 1.5m of yellow jersey fabric to see if I could make one myself.  I'm pretty excited with the end result because it turned out quite nice!  I'm no sewer by any means, but my mom has a sewing machine that I've hemmed pants the odd time, so I gave it a shot.  I learned how to create a french seam during this project too, and can't wait to wear my new accessory!

{ yellow jersey fabric - the colour looks pale, but it's quite a vibrant yellow }

{ this shows the french seam -
unfortunately I didn't have any yellow thread, so this will have to do }
