I've received a Sunshine Award from Anna over at Your Trash - My TreasureAnna is a queen at shopping the thrift stores & getting gorgeous finds at a fraction of the price.  Not only that, but she posts daily outfits & proves that you don't have to spend a fortune to look like a million bucks!

I'm really excited as this is my first award from a fellow blogger, so a special thanks to Anna!

In return, I'm passing on the Sunshine Award to some of my favourite blogs:

GLAM LATTE ::: great outfit posts, make-up & fashion

Veronika's Blushing ::: cute outfits & a fellow tall blogger

dot dot dot ::: fantastic fashion ads & witty remarks

work your closet ::: Jamie shows us her celebrity inspiration then 'works her closet' to put together a very cool similar look

...love Maegan ::: from DIY clothing, accessories & shoes to outfits of the day, this is one talented woman

After reading Emily's post on stripes, I found myself looking for more 'French-inspired' attire.  Does this include stripes?  Of course it does!  And although I'm no stranger to the stripe, it's always nice to freshen it up.  Not only do stripes remind me of the French, but my mind also wanders to a nautical theme.  Check out some of my picks below.

Adidas Celebrate Stripes Top $102.56

Rare Metallic Vertical Stripe Bandeau Dress $100.86 { my fave }

French Connection Candy Stripe Dress $168

Did I just die and go to heaven?! I found these Toureson booties from Aldo
just now and I'm in looove.  A hidden wedge in an ankle boot - does it get any
better than this?  It also reminds me of these sick boots that Fashion is Poison
blogged about.  They still have my size and they are on sale for half price!
Too good to be true?!

Jacob skirt, Smart Set top, Givenchy fishnets, Aldo pumps, belt was a gift,
necklace from India

It seems spring fever has hit once again.  After spotting Corrie's outfit on The Bachelor (After the Final Rose), I decided to neglect my own personal feelings about sporting a summer-ish outfit in the winter ... so what if they filmed that show in a warm climate ... it IS March and it IS getting milder.  I'm sticking to my guns.

PS - If you love Corrie's necklace (like I do!), you can buy it here.

Barbie is back (not that she ever really left) and with a vengeance!  At 51 she's never looked better and Asos is now carrying a fantastic Barbie line, featuring the six new Barbies above.   Not only can you purchase the dolls & accessories (including life-size hand bags ~ 'I <3 Barbie' anyone?), but you can buy life-size LBDs , sunglasses, totes, shoes and accessories that were created in inspiration of Barbie!  Fun!
