A blogger friend of mine, Katie from Fashion's Maven, recently had a 100 Followers Give-Away providing us with the opportunity to win some goodies from Sephora, so of course I entered. Well guess what? I won! I'm super pumped too because I have never bought anything from Sephora. I know, I know, some of you might have just fallen off your chair, but it's true. We are officially less than three weeks away till the wedding. I have had three dress fittings and the dress is just about done (she was basically just waiting for my shoes to come in, to do the hem). I am so in love with this dress and I wish I could show you guys some pictures from my fittings, but they are top secret until the big day. I will certainly share with you after!
Our friends MP & AT recently got engaged! After over six years together, and two kids, he finally popped the question in the Bahamas this spring. We are so excited for them! The other night we went to an engagement party for the happy couple at a fabulous steak house. There was at least 30 people there including friends and familly. The generous couple even bought everyone their appetizers! How sweet is that? Congratulations MP & AT!

I have recently developped a small obsession with burlap. It's textured, it's cheap and it's oh-so-trendy right now for home decor. After seeing multiple DIY projects involving burlap, I hit the fabric store and got myself some for my own DIY.
This is so simple, so quick, and so awesome. All you need is a hot glue gun, a frame, a small piece of burlap (to fit your frame) and some sort of embellishment (a coin, ribbon, a bead, a button, etc. Be creative!).
{ burlap, $4/metre }
{ thrifted frame, $3 }
{ I pulled this 'coin' off an old candle }
Cut burlap into size of frame's window (mine is 3x3)
Using your hot glue gun...
... Attach your embelishment to the burlap
Insert burlap square into frame
Voila!
They're here! My wedding shoes have arrived! I'm ecstatic. They fit, they are amazing, and I'm so excited! Yes, they are the ones I said I was getting close to. Yes, it panned out and yes, I'm so relieved and happy. I'm keeping it top secret (to surprise my future hubby), so you will have to wait another three weeks or so.
