On Saturday, we went a friend's wedding.  The location: a yatch club.  The weather: sunny and beautiful.  The couple: happy.  The day turned out to be so nice for an afternoon wedding on the water.  The reception was formal, yet casual and breezy, and everything went off without a hitch.  Congratulations to J & C!

Although Spring's basket-weave wedge is beautiful, if you're looking for something slightly dressier and at a lower price, CutesyGirl has a great alternate for less.

Everytime I get my hair coloured, this friend of my hair stylist always tends to show up.  She sits around, chats and the conversations between the three of us are always so ripe.  The most ironic part of it though, is that at yesterday's appointment, it was the third time she showed up and I happened to be there.  If you knew me, you'd know I don't get my hair coloured that often, and it certainly isn't like clockwork, so, it really is such a coincidence.  Regardless, with my wedding quickly approaching (just over two months away), I, for the first time, made a colour appointment months in advance.  The three of us agreed that we'd all 'meet' there on that day, wine in hand, foils in head.  When I go, it'll be one week before 'the big day' and I'm sure I'll be needed a couple glasses.

I came across this fantastic shop online called, Spotted Moth.  They sell women's clothing and have everything from skirts to accessories to tops and dresses (and more!).  The price points are pretty good and I could not stop drooling over this scalloped skirt:

I can't seem to get enough of ruffles (seen here & here, and for purchase here), and this day was no different.  I made this top with some lilac-coloured chiffon I found at the fabricstore.  Initially, I was planning on making a  multi-tiered tank, but my mind wasn't working in that direction and of course wandered to what else? Ruffles!

Good news: the fiancĂ© & I went out and he bought us a new camera!  Yipee!  So, although it wasn't used to take these pictures (because, you know, we have to charge the battery, and wait, etc.), I'll be back to clearer shots in no time.  However, I couldn't pass up showing you guys my latest project.
