Weekend Recap: iPhone Snaps

Friday night I hit the gym after work and then decided to take a little trip out to Orleans to start my shopping for my next video.  I found a few things, but this jumper was not one of them.  Being tall has plenty of downfalls, one of them being it almost impossible to find rompers that are long enough in the body!

Jumpsuit:  Dynamite

Saturday morning.

More photos after the jump...

We grabbed panini's from Chucks for the first time in a while after our workout--I could seriously eat one of these everyday, they aren't shy with the mayo sauce they put on them and it's a little slice of heaven every time we go.  If you've never been, it's nothing fancy, a small convince store with a deli within.  There's an area to sit and eat if you want (we always do) and the owner is friendly.  The prices are good (about $10 for a panini, lentil salad & drink) and it's definitely something I couldn't make at home.

We spent the afternoon running around, doing errands and some shopping.

I got my Vietnamese fix at Ox Head in Kanata, however I wasn't as impressed with their beef-rice dish as I am at Huong & Pho Bo Ga La (the Pho is great there, though).

I spent the evening cleaning, packing, and more cleaning.  Our friend is staying at our place for the week so I wanted to make sure it was spic and span.  Of course packing took longer than anticipated--when does it not?!--and I ended up just staying up all night.

Outfit deets:  Garage kimono cardigan (new!), Urban Planet cami, DIY cut-offs, Diba sandals (new!), Rachel Roy pashmina & Matt & Nat bag.
This was taken at the airport before our 6am flight.  It took forever to get checked in, through security and Customs despite being so early (it was busy!).

We had a good two-hour flight to Chicago and a brief layover where we had some breakfast and updated our phone plans for the US.  Then hoped on a four hour flight to Vegas.

We arrived in Vegas at 11am--but 2pm our time back home--and were hungry so after checking in, we went to Javier's for some Mexican fare.  Oh.  My.  God.  So good, you guys and that marg did not disappoint.  We had some of the best salsa and I scarfed down two excellent rare steak soft tacos.

Outfit deets:  Express tunic tee (new!), Celebrity Pink shorts, Diba sandals & Christian Siriano cross-body.
After a six-hour nap, it was the dinner hour so I threw on some new clothes and headed out to the Aria buffet.  Totally indulged on prime rib, lamb, sweet potato hash, sushi, Indian curry with Naan bread and more.  It was potentially the most amazing buffet I've ever been to.  Finished off with some fruit and peach cobbler, I could hardly suck it in after.

Afterwards, I roamed around the strip, saw the Bellagio fountain show and came back to the room before midnight to crash.

I am in Las Vegas for the week and am looking forward to more mini day adventures.  Am really hoping to get a picture with the famous Las Vegas sign and score some finds at Ross & the outlet(s).
