When I was little, my mom taught me the art that is squatting when using a public washroom. As I got older, I basically said F-this-noise and began covering the seat with toilet paper and sitting instead. I couldn't be bothered to get a leg workout--relalistically, people--while trying to pee.
That said, I would never not at least wipe the seat so it always surprises me when people just run in and sit down. A friend of mine once did that without looking and sat in someone else's pee (ick!), so I always check.
Do you squat or sit? Are you diligent like me about wiping the seat?

Oh I always squat. I would NEVER, I REPEAT never SIT on a public toilet seat. N.A.S.T.Y.!!!!
I remember reading somewhere that the toilet seat is actually a lot cleaner than the door knobs and other items people touch a lot. I still squat...although it sucks when the toilets are low or when you're a little drunk and your balance is off. :)
@Rebecca That's very true, balancing on those seats can be tricky when you are three sheets to the wind!
I am a wrapper, I hate squatting. It makes me feel like I am peeing in the bushes or something LOL.
@Anon: LOL
@Rebecca: Yes! I read that too! I never touch the handle on the door (ICK!!).
I judge the bathroom. If it's disgusting and can't hold it, I not only wipe I will add 2 layers of TP AND squat! If it's moderately clean (as clean as a public toilet can be) I will layer up and sit. THEN I flush the toilet with my foot and open the door with paper towel!
I should really just squat cause I'd have amazing legs by now lol
It depends. At my workplace, nice restaurants and hotels I just sit without any cover. In fast food places I don't sit.
