Friday night got off to a great start when my bestie and I decided to check out a consignment pop-up shop and then head for impromptu drinks and apps at Anthony's in Hintoburg...

From there, I headed home and tidied up a bit, did some work and made salmon and baked veggies for a late night dinner with the man.
The next day we were up early to head to Mont. Saint Marie with friends, which was a blast. Fortunately, we got some mild weather this weekend (-8C) which was such a nice change from the -30C temperatures we've been experiencing for like three months! My best friend Sarah (middle) even came along and tried skiing for the first time and killed it!
We grabbed take-out on the way home: Indian for me, Caribbean for him, and then crashed.
We had plans to attend a friend's birthday that evening and woke up around 9pm, got ready and headed out. I wore this pulled-apart Dutch braid (which got a ton of compliments, even from the men at the party! #whoknew)
Dynamite top (similar, love this one) & cami (similar) // Zara denim (similar)
And a shot of when I got home, what I wore, and a half pulled out hairstyle before bed.
The next morning, rocking an early birthday gift: an Alexis Russell cuff earring #inlove
I went out to brunch with some girlfriends and we tried Local, which is a new spot at Landsdowne. It's a cool space and the food was great. The only qualm? The brunch menu was pretty small and they don't have your traditional bacon & eggs plate.
I spent the afternoon working with a client in her closet, styling outfits that feel pulled together, a little edgy and chic.
Sunday late afternoon was spent filming my next Place d'Orleans video, which turned out to be completely out of focus--frustration--and yes, I'm wearing the same top from the night before because I thought it would look pretty on camera! So I will have to re-film that but can't wait for you guys to see the amazing transition pieces I picked up!
Thanks for reading and happy Monday! #timeforacoffee
I love the Local! I live about a 10 minute walk to the one in Vancouver, I just went there last week. The gyoza is my favourite, and so is the mystery glass of wine :-). Looks like a pretty great weekend although I wish I could have gone skiing too...there's just no snow in BC right now!
ReplyDelete@Nicole: yeah?!!? Sweet! What is the 'Gyoza'?? And I'll have to try the mystery wine next time if it's dinner time! :D
