MPG tank (love this one) & leggings (similar)
Saturday morning Marco and I kicked off the day by hitting the gym (before all the indulgences that come along with Valentine's Day, of course!). Braid tutorial here.
I always whip up these two-ingredient pancakes (with a scoop of protein added; I've been using chocolate-peanut-butter because it's all I have and it's surprisingly fine) before a weekend workout or snowboarding. I'm not someone who can workout without breakfast--or do much for that matter. These take under 10 minutes to whip up, are filling and healthy.
Afterwards we stopped in at Sporting Life again, as we had a coupon. I liked this Burton Esme pull-over jacket (which is on sale now) but I have my heart set on a similar one (last year's style) that is a dark purple.
We got home around 4pm and relaxed for a bit then started getting ready for dinner (Marco decided earlier in the week he didn't want to cook!). I decided to go full hair and make-up (this lipstick) but kept my outfit pretty casual...
Free People sweater (new!) // Sirens denim (similar) // Rampage boots (similar/similar) // Aldo clutch (similar/similar)
While at Sporting Life, I found this Free People sweater and it was marked down to $38 from $129! What a score!
I normally feel obliged to dress up for Valentine's Day, a silly pressure I put on myself, I suppose, but honestly, this look is so me. I love the colour grey, skinny jeans and tall (and ankle) boots. It was -30C on Saturday evening and snowing so, heels and bare legs aren't exactly a good call. All that said, I felt like myself, comfortable and good all night and that's a really great feeling, right ladies? Yes!
On Sunday morning, after the gym, we met my parents for breakfast at a local pub to celebrate my birthday a month early since they will be away.
Two months ago I had no idea how to use SnapChat and I consider myself fairly media-savvy and now? I'm obsessed! Add me if you'd like: acoest1984
On our way home we decided to stop at the mall and poke around (I can always convince Marco if there is a sports store to go to!). We went to Sports Experts who are having a huge winter sale. I found this cute Ride Lenora jacket but there was only an xs. I don't need another snowboarding jacket, and am truly happy with my Burton Horizon, but it's fun to look.
I did leave the mall empty handed but I'm also on a self-proclaimed shopping ban attempt for the month of February (the Free People sweater was purchased by Marco--a make-shift V-Day present, perhaps!).
I splurged on a cookie (mind you, this weekend seems to be one big splurge between licorice, baklava, cheesecake, chocolates and more...). #YOLO
Sunday night we got take out; Indian for me, Thai for him and were both disappointed! I ordered the wrong dish (what on earth!?) by accident and his wasn't uber spicy or flavourful but hey, you win some, you lose some.
I spent the rest of the evening working on a hair tutorial video which I'll post here tomorrow!
Hope you had a great weekend. Did you buy anything? (Let me live vicariously through you!)
Also, if you're looking for some new music, I'm loving this 42-minute mix I used to get ready on Saturday night to.

ReplyDeleteHoly shit! Takes a lot of courage to bash someone on the internet. Amanda is what is wrong with society? Take a look in the mirror... YOU are what's wrong with society. Obviously you are friends with with someone from Amanda's past. She has put that behind her, why don't you and your friend do the same? You'll be much happier and pleasant to be around.
