Today my girlfriend and I are getting away. Getting out of town. Getting lost. And we've made a pact: no cell phones. Of course we are bringing them with us (duh, safety first my friends), but they are being turned off. Destination unknown. A real adventure. Sometimes you just need to get away (ideally on a holiday that we are getting paid for but don't have to work - woot!).

That sounds like such a fun idea. I love the idea of spontaniety and no cell phones for a change! Can't wait to hear where you ended up.

I just got back from 3 days 2 nights in Vegas with a girlfriend. SO therapeutic! Sometimes you just need to say screw it! Have blast!

I missed this post but it sounds exactly like what I would propose to friends...let's just get out of here!
But now they all have babies and just leaving is harder. Oh well, i fly to NYC in two days to make up for it!
