MOTO JACKET (DARK GREY COLOUR IS GORGEOUS TOO)

Happy Friday ladies!  We made it!  Last night I was at Nordstrom and saw this gorgeous red suede jacket again; I have it in the Midnight Toker (tan) and Morning Glory (burgundy) colours, so splurging on a third colour seems a little lot frivolous.

That said, if you're looking for a statement jacket for Spring, please go get this one!  The fit on this jacket is amazing and it looks way more expensive than it actually is; I wear a size medium so I'd say it's true to size.

Enough about jackets, it's been a long week and I am really looking forward to a low key weekend.  We have been away the last two weekends (Tremblant & Whistler) so while there are options, I might just opt out and stay in.  I really want to edit the Whistler vlog and I have a half-edited, Favourite Christmas Gifts video.  Insert monkey covering eyes emoji.  Terrible, I know.

Hope you girls have a great weekend and here are some fun links around the web to kick things off!

Just scooped up this cozy funnel neck athletic sweatshirt (it's half price!).

Made this delicious (healthy) dinner on Monday.

Debating this bikini top.

Advice to my younger self--via celebrities.

Totally loving this album (you may have noticed my Snapchats are often to several of these songs--especially #4, 8 & 12).

I can't even with this cat right meow.

The world's biggest beer pong festival, in Ottawa this April!

What a great fitness quote.

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  BELL SLEEVE SWEATER (MORE SIZES HERE)  |  LACE CAMI (SIMILAR)  |  LAYERED CHOKER  |  DISTRESSED BLACK SKINNIES (GOING TO GET THESE INSTEAD)  |  OVER THE KNEE BOOTS  |  CELINE BAG

You guys, this bell sleeve sweater was on my wish list for months and I finally pulled the trigger back in December, and since picking it up from the post office last month, I'm in love.  Bonus, because it's on sale now!

I think the bell sleeve trend is only going to continue into the warmer months, and I could see myself pairing this with some denim cut offs, if we ever make it Spring.  That said, for now, it's perfect on it's own or with a cami layered underneath.  The v is pretty deep, so I like the extra coverage the lace adds.  I sized down and went with a small, as I find Free People tends to run a little big.

Good morning!  Today I'm sharing a huge photo overload of our trip to Whistler, British Columbia last week.  We left Ottawa on Wednesday morning and travelled to the west coast of Canada to visit the beautiful Whistler-Blackcomb ski village.

Our trip was only a short four days, and the days on either end were basically travel days, but I took a ton of photos and would love to share, if you'd like to see...

Hi ladies!  Today I'm sharing another untraditional Valentine's Day look (or Galentine's Day, if you're planning to celebrate with girlfriends).  I'm definitely a pants girl and since we're in full on winter over here, baring my legs isn't exactly my idea of a good time.

I have always loved flared pants, and have several pairs in my wardrobe--some newer and some from over the years.  I usually opt for skinny jeans, but there is something about a flared pant that is so effortlessly chic.  I went with a plunging neckline sweater and kept the colours feminine but had to throw in the edgy jacket.  I love the unexpected colour pairing of the blush and plum.

Also, this would pair just fine underneath your coat, then you can choose to keep the jacket on or off depending on the temperature, if you're headed out to a restaurant or romantic evening.

Happy Monday!  I'm feeling more like, Monday, noooooo, she wasn't readyyyy.  We got home from Whistler on Sunday morning at 3am and crashed hard.  It was a long travel day home, as we left the mountain around noon in a snowstorm to drive back to Vancouver to catch our flight, and while it's good to be home, I'm always so sad for vacation to come to an end.

On Saturday morning, our last day there, we got up early, and went out to roam around the village and take in some of the scenery.  Since our trip was four days (and two of those days were 12+ hours of travelling), it was our last chance to snap some pics and see more of the winter wonderland.

There is a winding path through the trees that connects the upper village to the lower village in Whistler, and we took that and came across the stream above.  If you squint hard enough, you can see the gondola and the ski mountain in the background.  Just breathtaking!  It snowed like crazy on our last two days, so it was so gorgeous.  That said, our fingers were frozen trying to snap these shots!!  #realtalk
