I'm back with the second round of holiday gift guides and today we're talking about the special ladies in your life--be it your best girlfriend, Mom, sister or whomever is your nearest and dearest.  I've got a variety of fun things I know some of my closest girlfriends would love (because they told me) + things I already love or would love to get myself.

I just got a new phone, and would love a marble phone case.  The rose gold knot bangle is so pretty (and comes in yellow gold & silver too)--I have a friend who has one and every time she wears it, I'm eyeballing it.  These leggings are the comfiest pair I've ever owned and I actually gifted my bestie with a pair last year and she loved them.

I'm all about either nude or dark manis, and I'm on my second bottle of the Essie colour above
.  You can always find some beautiful stuff on Etsy like this woven wall hanging, and how pretty are those rough diamond studs!?  This satin cami PJ set would be super cute too & this glass and gold booze decanter is gorgeous + functional.

Finally, this is my favourite red lip colour (as seen on me here), the chic water bottles come in a variety of colours and prints and these are my absolute favourite undies--they are comfortable, lie smooth under the sheerest of clothing and don't dig in!

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  CROCHET OFF SHOULDER TOP  |  ZARA DISTRESSED DENIM -- SOLD OUT (SIMILAR)  |  ASOS FEATHER CLUTCH -- OLD (SIMILAR, SIMILAR)  |  REPORT SIGNATURE HEELS -- OLD (SIMILAR, LOVE THESE)

While I love to get fancy every now and again, casual is more my thing, with some elevated pieces to fancy it up.  This look is something I would wear to a casual holiday party, say at someone's home or even out for festive drinks with the girls.  It's comfortable and chic at the same time.  Pair it with metallic heels and a fancy clutch and you're party ready.

We are hosting our four annual Secret Santa this Friday and I'll be wearing something along these lines--minus the shoes, because I'm not a big shoes-in-the-house kinda girl.  And if this look is a little too casual for your taste, swap in dark denim or some coated burgundy pants and you'll be a little more dressed up.

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  RUFFLE TOP  |  SEQUIN SKIRT (SIMILAR, ALSO IN RED & BLACK)  |  BCBG PUMPS -- OLD (SIMILAR, FUN SPARKLY OPTION)  |  VINTAGE CLUTCH -- FOUND THE EXACT ONE! (SIMILAR, SIMILAR VINTAGE)

I love December, and while I early prefer the warmer months of Fall leading up to it, the festive season gets me right in the feels!  The music, the parties, the decor and the glam--this is definitely the time of year I love to pull out the sparkle and sequins and go ham!

Sequin pieces are something I love to collect (I have an entire Pinterest board dedicated to sequin outfits!) but I tend to only wear them during the holiday season, so now is the time to take advantage.

I have a couple sequin skirts in my wardrobe and this one is four years old (case in point, eek!),  but I've linked a bunch after the jump if you're looking to add one to your closet.  I paired mine with a pretty off-shoulder-ish ruffle top and a classic black pump.  To off set the harshness of the black shoe, I added the mesh-beaded clutch and a red lip to tie it together.  Another great option would be with a chunky sweater tucked into only the front of the skirt, or a simple tee for an edgy-chic look.

Good morning & happy Monday!  How was your weekend?  It's been three weeks since I've done a Weekend Recap, which is the longest I've ever gone, because I've been so sick... and am still sick.  And when you're sick, there isn't much to write home about... or share on the blog!  I was improving last week, but by Friday afternoon, I lost my voice and have barely spoken all weekend.  Cue incredibly frustrated faced emoji.  #girlneedstotalk

By the way, Happy December!  Holy smokes, the holidays are here / around the corner and I'm unprepared, but, there is still time.  How are your preparations going?

That said, I'm functioning and feeling way better than I was, so that's a huge win, and my appetite hasn't diminished, ha, so with that, onto the food-heavy weekend recap.

I'm finally wrapping up the last of our trip to Italy.  From Bellagio, we took a 45 minute hydrofoil boat ride to the small town of Lake Como.   We stayed at a the boutique-style Hotel Metropole Suisse, and the location was perfect as it was directly across the street from the hydrofoil dock--and when you're lugging far too many suitcases, you want to be close.

We checked in, dropped our bags and took in the view.  We had a gorgeous lake view, and the mountains were just stunning.  Such a picturesque spot to stay, and I was excited to get out and explore.
