I bought these frames from the thrift store not too long ago and planned to use them at our wedding.  However, since they didn't posess a glass pane, I decided to use them for something to use as decor in our home.  You should have seen these frames when I bought them - so ugly.  They were brownish-gold with the worst picture inside (one was of a woman in the old days, very chubby and ugly and the other a chubby man clutching a shotgun), which I quickly spray painted over.  Once they were dry, I found some fabric and got busy.

The accent colour in our home on the main level is orange, so I used this orange fabric

I used the picture and cut the orange fabric to a square slightly larger...

...then hot glued the fabric to the square

Once glued, it looks like this on the back...

...and like this on the front

Nice, but it's missing something...

...so I grabbed this gauzy fabric I had to wrap the orange fabric

Voila!

I am officially a Mrs.!

We had the most amazing day on Friday.  We couldn't have asked for a better day.  Everything went perfect, the weather was warm and sunny, and everything went off without a hitch.  Our photographer sent us this one photo to tide us over for a few weeks until we see them all (I can't wait!), and I had to share it with you.  Stay tuned for more!

Today I will marry the most amazing man in the entire world.

Can't wait to be a wifey!

I love you, peng.

My mom made the sweetest suggestion to my sister and I that we have a girls dinner before the wedding.  Sort of a, 'Last girls dinner before Amanda gets married' - isn't that so sweet?  At the last minute, she asked if my Dad should come, but we decided to keep it just the girls.  It worked out nicely too as she planned it for the night M was out of town for his (second) bachelor party.  We went to Milestones (one of my fave restaurants) and had a delicious dinner.  Afterwards, we headed back to my sister's place for some wine and chatter.  It was a fabulous night - thank you, Mom!

{ our server surprised me with a sparkling congratulatory dessert }

I remembered seeing these Jeffrey Campbell wedges months ago when I spied these look-alikes from Aldo that they just recently released.  If you can't swallow the price point, you can get an even less expensive version from Urban Original.
