I think I speak for many women at the moment when I say I'm still really loving the galdiator shoe trend. Gladiator flats are so easy to slip into, whether it's a day of perusing the mall or lunch with the girls, they just work. This year the focus is really on cuffs, and ankle embellishment. As the summer quickly approaches (it's June already!? whoa) I find it harder and harder to stay focused on a more formal attire, and not slip into more casual outfits. The heat, the humidity, the season; it all makes me want to don something funkier with a carefree attitude to go along with it. I put myself in these heels in the morning but ended up rocking flats (which is so unlike me!) by the afternoon.

I found the fabric for this top on a recent jaunt to the fabric store. I'd seen the material several times in my previous trips there, but didn't buy any (although I was very drawn to it). I finally realized what to make with it: a tee! It turned out great; it's a stretchy jersey material, boat-necked in an a-line cut. Great for casual days, with jeans or leggings, a throw-on-and-go type of thing. Perfect.
