Dressing up for me still usually means pants--unless it's a wedding--because I feel my best and most comfortable in them.  Same goes for business casual dressing because in order to feel confident, I need to feel like myself, and I need to feel comfortable.

I picked up this blouse a couple weeks ago and have already worn it a few times.  I love that it's a boat neck (universally flattering) so it works for the office, but the tie in the front and buttons up the back give it interest to keep it from being a boring white blouse.  I paired it with some black skinnies & fairly conservative heels, but you could dress it up with red strappy heels or down with some black booties for girls night out.

We are still in Italy, but will be home mid-week, but I'm back to regular posting again--yay for good Internet connections!  There are no Weekend Snaps today since we are still travelling, but I wanted to share my go-to Fall outfit, anytime I have free time or am heading out to run errands on the weekend.

These Free People thermals are my go-to, and since purchasing the black and cream colours in the Spring, I knew I had to splurge on this olive coloured one that came out this fall.  I know they are a little pricey, but the fit is amazing (size down), they are uber comfortable, wash well and I wear mine all the time.  Additionally, they are a great layering piece and believe me when I say, you will get your money's worth.

My style has evolved over the past couple years and I really love casual dressing, in neutral tones.  While I'm all for experimenting, once you nail down your personal style, investing in some great basics you will wear frequently, and are able to mix and match, will maximize your time outside of getting dressed for the day.  This denim is definitely not budget-friendly, I'm fully aware, but I've worn them to death and they still look brand new.  Bonus: they've been the most worn while in Italy because they feel like leggings (Christmas wish list anyone?).  Throw a pair of tan booties in and #outfitcomplete.

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  FLORAL DRESS -- 60% OFF! (SIMILAR)  |  ALDO GOLD CHOKER (SIMILAR)  |  OVER THE KNEE BOOTS  |  H&M FRINGE BAG (SIMILAR, BUDGET FRIENDLY)

Hello from Italy!  I was going to wait until tomorrow to post this look but this dress is selling out fast because it's super on sale!  We are having a great time, and are here until next week.  We are visiting a few different places and I've been sharing a ton on Insta--except for the first two days when I was without Internet almost the entire time! #firstworldprobs  I will definitely do a full recap upon return.

Back to the dress, the bell sleeves are super on trend and the wrap style is very flattering.  I sized up to a large to fit in the shoulders better, but the adjustable waist is great so a medium could have worked as well.

It's been a while since I've done an Instagram round up and since then, I have joined Like to Know It, which is the little link you'll see in my Instagram posts when you can shop the look.  It's super easy and free for you to use, simply sign up with your email and any photo you like that has it, will be sent to you via email with all the shapable links immediately.

Alternatively, if you head under the SHOP section of my blog at the top, you'll see all the items I'm loving right now, click on the photo and you don't need to sign up to click over and shop the items you're loving.  A really simple way to score some of your favourite pieces.

All that said, I wanted to share some of the most popular photos and share the details here.

SCARF  |  SWEATER (SIMILAR BUT LONGER)  |  RAG & BONE DENIM -- SOLD OUT (SIMILAR, SIMILAR & SAME STYLE, DIFFERENT WASH)

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  H&M PONCHO (SIMILARALSO LOVE THIS ONE)  |  A.CO DESIGNS CHOKER NECKLACE (SIMILAR)  | THIN KNIT SWEATER (SIMILAR, WANT THIS, SPLURGE)  |  DISTRESSED SKINNIES -- UNDER $50!  |  FRINGE BOOTIES (PEEP-TOE VERSION, MORE COLOURS HERE, LOVE THESE)  |  FRINGE BAG (REAL LEATHER)

A poncho is a great piece to throw over and go--it works with an easy jeans & tee look as a third piece, as it does for added warmth even over a jacket.  I love the look of a neutral poncho (remember this one from last year?) which is easy to mix and match, but also adds a little something extra.

If it's still warm where you are, try throwing your poncho over a pair of denim cut offs and a tee, or even still, it's a great piece to throw in your bag when you're heading out at night, just in case the temperature drops.

Happy Sunday girls!  Just wanted to share a little workout wear--or lounging wear, for that matter!  I'm all about the leggings from Lululemon, they are definitely on the pricier side, but the fit is just so kind to everyone's body.  They really do work wonders, are super comfortable and stay put.  I wear mine to workout and around the house.

These leggings are new in, and a feature product so they won't be around forever.  If you're new to Lululemon, there are various fabric types, depending on personal preference and/or activity.  I usually go for the full-on luon (which gives a 'sucked in' feel), but these are the luxtreme fabric and the sensation is 'hugged' and I love it.  They are more slippery than the luon, but have a great compression to them, which is great.

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  CAMO JACKET  |  TANK  |  DISTRESSED DENIM (ALSO HERE, BUDGET FRIENDLY)  |  PEEP-TOE BOOTIES -- OLD (SIMILAR, SIMILAR, LOVE THESE)  |  BAG  |  DIY CHAIN CHOKER  |  F21 BRAIDED CHOKER

I shared this jacket on Insta this week because I'm totally obsessed with it--and you guys seemed to like it too!  I love the print, the slighted faded wash, and great details.  It's perfect for Fall and pairing with various neutrals outfits and this could have easily worked just as well with some sneakers or combat boots.  I know this jacket is going to get a ton of play.

That said, I know this jacket is on the slightly pricier side, so I'm linking some budget-friendly options at the bottom of the post as well.

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  BLANK NYC MORNING SUEDE MOTO JACKET  |  BOATHOUSE TANK (SIMILAR, SIMILAR)  |  CUFFED DARK DENIM -- SIZE DOWN  |  ALEXANDER WANG WEDGES (SIMILAR, BUDGET FRIENDLY)  |  ALDO SUNGLASSES (SIMILAR, SIMILAR, SIMILAR)  |  BAG

This jacket, in this plum colour, has been sold out for a month and they just restocked it with all sizes available, so if you're lusting after it, run and scoop it up before it sells out again!  I picked mine up during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (haul video here) back in July and am obsessed (so obsessed that I purchased it in tan as well).

It's a gorgeous, suede jacket that fits true to size and is fully lined.  Although it's pricier, it is very well made and you will have it for years to come.  I'm seriously debating the grey one because it's just that good.

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  OVERSIZED SCARF -- NOW 25% OFF! |  WHITE SWEATER (LOVE THIS, WANT THIS)  |  HAT FROM ITALY (SIMILAR, LOVE THIS)  |  DISTRESSED DENIM  |  OVER THE KNEE BOOTS  |  FRINGE BAG (SIMILAR, SIMILAR)

Maroon is one of my fave colours for Fall and this year, it's everywhere.  Ultimately this is a pretty easy, go-to look, but the accessories really pull it together.  Start with your basics, I love a cozy sweater like this one, and throw on some denim--these ones are under $45!

From there, it's all about layering and finding pieces in the same colour family.  An easy way to do this is to start with a multi-coloured scarf and choose your colours from the scarf.  It's a no-fail way to put colours together.  Keep things interesting by mixing textures--suede, fringe, the knit, etc--and you're put together!

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  BOMBER JACKET (LOVE THIS)  |  TEE (OLIVE GREEN, MORE COLOURS)  |  RIBBON CHOKER (SIMILAR)  |  SKORT -- OLD (SIMILAR, SPLURGE)  |  PS11 MINI CLASSIC BAG (SIMILAR, BUDGET FRIENDLY)  |   LACE UP FLATS

Bomber jackets are everywhere right now, and whether you love them or not, they are definitely here to stay.  I picked up this crepe one and had a hard time choosing between colours--I'll share the other colour I got soon--because they are all so cute.

Since we are still in the swing of Summer, I paired mine with an easy skirt, plain t-shirt then spiced things up with a velvet choker and my fave lace up flats.  Denim shorts would be a great alternative, if you're looking to show some leg.

Also, I'm back to blonde!  After growing out my hair for almost two years, I finally went to someone new to bring up my balayage and brighten around my face at the end of June.  Well, I left looking like either (1) darker than before but way more blended, or to some (2) pretty much the same.  I lived with it for a month and it just felt too brunette so I went back and she went very blonde.  I'm finally starting to get used to the blonde again, but won't be touching it for a while.

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  SWEATER -- ON SALE!  |  SUEDE WRAP CHOKER  |  HIGH WAIST SHORTS  |  FRINGE BAG  |  STEVE MADDEN LACE UP HEELS (LOVE THESE)

Happy hump day!  Half way through the week and today I'm sharing one of my favourite ways to wear shorts: with a long sleeve top and heels--perfect for date night or cocktails with the girls, this look is comfortable, elevated and still chic.

I recently picked up this sweater and am in love, and bonus, it's super on sale right now (like over 75% off).  I also grabbed it in black because, you know, go to.  It's thick, well made, with snug fitting sleeves.  I love that it looks great tucked into shorts but have also worn it with a pencil skirt and dark denim skinnies.  I did size down, as I find the line runs a little roomy.

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  HARLOW TANK TOP (SIMILARLOVE THIS)  |  BANDEAU  |  SUEDE CHOKER  |  ZARA FLORAL FLARED PANTS (SIMILAR, SIMILAR, LOVE THESE, WIDE LEG)  |  H&M FRINGE BAG (SIMILAR)

When I spied these floral flares at Zara a few months back, I decided not to try them on and spent the next few weeks kicking myself, because when I went back, they were all gone.  Fast forward to the semi-annual sale and a couple pairs appeared, one in my size!

Something about floral pants feel so Summery and pretty, but the flared ones are on a whole new level.  I've worn these dressed up with a white lace, long sleeve top, a blush off the shoulder top and dressed down with this easy, beachy tank.  Still plenty of Summer left to scoop some up yourself and wear them into September.

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  BOHO DRESS (TAN/WHITE COLOUR)  |  CHOKER NECKLACE  |  BOOTIES -- OLD (JUST BOUGHT THESE, SIMILAR, LOVE THESE)  |  BUCKET BAG (SIMILAR)  |  SUNGLASSES

Summer isn't over yet, and I love the look of a long sleeved boho dress paired with booties--it's easy, effortless and looks cool.  Come cooler weather, pair this with some over the knee boots and a suede jacket and you're out the door.

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  OPEN BACK TOP  |  URBAN PLANET SHORTS (SIMILAR, WANT THESE) |  AE BRALETTE (SIMILAR, LOVE THIS)  |  WRAP CHOKER NECKLACE

I know I've been talking about Fall a lot lately, and I realize that can be a little depressing for some--I think this might be the first year I'm excited for Summer to come to an end just to bring out some of my new Fall finds.

However, today isn't about Fall, today is about Summer and making the most of it with your wardrobe.  I'm a sucker for open back tops, as you know, so this one was right up my alley (an am seriously contemplating getting it in black as well).  Since the nights tend to cool off, this is a perfect piece for evening or even a breezier day, since the open back keeps you cool.

I love the look of long sleeves with denim shorts--it balances things out and you can pick and choose what you want to show off.  Finally, bralettes have been a staple in my wardrobe this Summer; who has time for a real bra on weekends #notme #tellmeimnotalone  They're easy, comfortable and best of all, look pretty when they peek through.

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  DRAPEY VEST (SIMILAR, LOVE THIS)  |  ROMPER (SIMILAR, LOVE THIS)  |  SUEDE CHOKER  |  BAG (BUDGET FRIENDLY, LOVE THIS)  |  LACE UP HEELS (ALSO HERE)

Still Summer loving over here but will be shifting gears to more Fall outfits soon so wanted to share a really great transitional piece and how to wear it now while the temps are still soaring.  The drapey vest or sleeveless trench is such a great piece for layering over a romper, body hugging dress or even denim shorts and a cami.  It's again one of those great third pieces that just looks chic without trying.

When temperatures drop, I'm planning to pair this with a thin knit sweater and skinnies or over a long sleeved dress with boots.  You can even try pairing it under a shorter jacket like I did back in the Spring.

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  E. SSUE BODYSUIT (SIMILAR, SIMILAR, LONG SLEEVE)  |  HAT (SIMILAR)  |  HIGH WAIST SHORTS (SIMILAR)  |  FAUX SUEDE CHOKER  |  IRO HEELS (ALSO HERE & HERE)  |  FRINGE BAG (LOVE THIS)

The 90's are back in a big way and I'm loving it.  Sometimes it can take a minute to warm up to a trend, but bodysuits are a great way to jump right in.  I love that this one is a thicker fabric so it kind of sucks everything in, without compromising the look of it.

If you're uncertain, try pairing a bodysuit with high-waisted jeans or maxi skirt and throw a leather jacket on top, or better yet, go for a long sleeved version to feel a bit more covered (I'm dying over this one).

If you ladies are anything like me, once the weekend hits--or evenings, for that matter--off come the day clothes and on come the leggings.  I love being comfortable at home and on the weekends, and while I typically live in heels during the week, there is something about flats and sneakers that have become oh-so-appealing.

It might be a sign I'm getting older, and although I won't be giving up my heels anytime soon, you can still look stylish and put together in said 'comfy' clothes....

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  H&M LACE OFF SHOULDER TOP (SIMILAR, WANT THIS)  |  GOLD CHOKER (SIMILAR)  |  HIGH WAIST SHORTS (SIMILAR)  |  LACE UP HEELS  |  BAG (BUDGET FRIENDLY OPTION)  |  FUR POM (SIMILAR)

Summer is in full swing and we have been having some crazy hot temperatures.  This top if clearly quite revealing so if you're not feeling the bandeau bralette style underneath, a nude or same-colour strapless cami would be a great option.  I opted for high-waisted shorts for a bit more coverage--bonus, these shorts are under $15!

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  F21 BLACK KIMONO (SIMILAR, SIMILAR)  |  RUFFLE CAMI (LOVE THIS)  |  BLACK SKINNIES (LOVE THESE)  |  FAUX SUEDE CHOKER NECKLACE  |  LACE UP HEELS  |  BAG (BUDGET FRIENDLY OPTION)

If you girls didn't notice, I'm loving kimonos this year.  I started adding them to my closet last year, but this is seriously the year of the kimono for me!  They are so versatile, great for a business casual work environment, and obviously on weekends.  Blazers never quite fit me right, so a kimono is the perfect piece to offer coverage and add style.

Let's talk about the shoes--I scooped these up back in June after lusting after them for months and they are now super on sale!  They also come in black and red--but I find they run a little big, so I would suggest sizing down.

O U T F I T  D E T A I L S  :  H&M TOP (SIMILAR)  |  WHITE DENIM SHORTS  |  ZARA GLADIATOR SANDALS (SIMILAR, DESIGNER STEAL)  |  BAG  |  OLD FEATHER NECKLACE (LOVE THIS)

I posted a picture of these sandals on Insta earlier this week after scoring them at the Zara semi-annual sale.  My girlfriend and I went after dinner one evening, totally unplanned, and on the way there, I was telling her how all I want to wear lately are nude and black shoes.  Enter one pair of these lace up gladiators left, in. my. size.  #score #happydance

The sale is still going on, but pickings are slim online so head to your local store if you can to score some sweet deals -- ahem, my sandals were half off!  I'm totally loving this playsuit, this thin-knit sweater, this backless bodysuit and these boots are a steal.
