I'm always baffled when I hear about people still tanning (using tanning beds).  There is so much information and knowledge out there about how terrible it is for you, it's hard to believe people choose to ignore it in favour of bronzed skin.  Now I'm no stranger to a tanning bed, I did work at a tanning salon (cringe) six years ago and had never been so dark in my life.  And yes, being tanned is a beautiful thing, especially when you're as fair as I am, it brings confidence, makes you look slimmer and there is almost no unflattering clothing colour.  However, the longt erm effects are not worth it.  I know much better now, and if I could take back the damage I've already done, I would because it was pure stupidity.

Now a days, I tan myself with self-tanners (and wear sunscreen every single day).  My favourite is L'Oreal Sublime (which as you can tell, I'm not wearing in these photos) for creating a great at-home tan.  However, I must say, nothing beats a real spray-tan done at the salon.  My fave is the Mystic Tan which a local tanning salon offers and I'm loving.

The peep-toe bootie trend is still going strong and you no long need to empty your wallet to get on this band wagon. Aldo's Haga booties are great, but at $140, you'll want to get your wear out of them. However, if you're looking for something similar without the similar price tag, check out Urban Original's Qupid Gaze booties and poof! Stylish on a budget.

You don't have to splurge to be stylish and I certainly live by that motto.  I found these great booties on Aldo's site and started to drool.  Fortunately, I've found a much cheaper (and almost identical) version at Forever 21.

Well it's official: I have lost my (winter) legs.  That's right, the tights have come off and I'm so excited!  We are officially in spring (in my books) and I have put my tights away till the fall.  It's been six long months of wearing tights almost every day and I'm more than ready to go bare-legged.  I have to smile when I read about other bloggers (who live in generally warm climates year 'round, ie. LA) who get excited to put on tights due to cooler evening temperatures.  It's like a treat for them, which is nice, but here, it's a neccessity.  I'd look ridiculous running around with bare legs in the dead of January (ie. when the temperature drops below -25C).  Regardless, spring has sprung and tights are done... well, for a few months at least.

Did I just die and go to heaven?! I found these Toureson booties from Aldo
just now and I'm in looove.  A hidden wedge in an ankle boot - does it get any
better than this?  It also reminds me of these sick boots that Fashion is Poison
blogged about.  They still have my size and they are on sale for half price!
Too good to be true?!
I'm loving Maison Martin Margiela's new leather peep-toe booties in grey.  At $1045 they are sorching, and you can buy them here.

I came across these oh-so-delicious wedge boots today.  If there's one thing I'm a sucker for, it's wedges.  Throw a boot in the mix so I can ultimately winterize an often summer style, and you're golden.

I cannot stop thinking about these 'Flounder' (cute name) booties, available in nude and black. Unfortunately, they don't ship to my neck of the woods!

My love for peep-toe boots has been ongoing for quite some time now, but I recently discovered some amazing thigh-high peep-toe boots, as seen above.
