What's your biggest beauty secret?

I love hearing what other women do for their beauty regime and I especially love beauty hacks.  I have picked up a few of my own over the years but my biggest beauty secret is...

...sunscreen!  I apply sunscreen every day to my face and neck, year round.  This is something I've been doing for almost eight years and I think it's starting to pay off now that I'm in my thirties.

I used to love tanning and having colour but ultimately, unless I'm baking myself in a bed, I've come to the accept my fair skin is not meant to be that tanned.  Additionally, my face hardly tans at all so all that sun damage is worthless (so I'll just use some foundation and a bronzer to get that glow I'm coveting).

  1. Two types of mascara at once - first Voluminous to plump them up, followed by Lash Out to lengthen them (both by L'Oreal). Best of both worlds!

  2. Oooo and also Crystal deodorant. Amazing - lasts forever, no scent, ONLY thing that works til the end of the day without a stink or tainted deodorant smell. Worth it's weight in gold! http://www.amazon.com/Crystal-Body-Deodorant-Stick-4-25-oz/dp/B000L978FU/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1421863292&sr=8-2&keywords=crystal+deodorant

  3. Sunscreen is a MUST! Also Vitamin C + retinol and hyaluronic acid are staples in my routine to fight of the winkles of my sun exposure past! I too love to layer my mascara with L'Oreal Volumonous and Mary Kay.

  4. @Lynnc: YES!! Two mascaras is something I recently started doing--thanks for sharing your faves and I'm DEFINTELY going to check out that deodorant come Summer.

@Mel Mac: nice!! I need to find something like that (or that exactly one) and seems everyone is loving the L'Oreal Voluminous (myself included!).

  5. This isn't related to this post, but could you ask your friend Sarah what high chair she has?

  6. What sunscreen do you like to use for your face and neck? I always find that sunscreen doesn't layer well with makeup so I have a hard time using it :(

  7. @Unknown: I use the (Walmart) Equate brand that is found in the make-up section. It's only SPF 15 but I find much stronger doesn't layer well either. This stuff is liquid-y and absorbs well. It comes in a white/yellow box (beside the Olay) and is about $7 :)

  8. @Ashley: its the Baby Trend high chair (owl one that matches the playpen).
