Weekend Recap: iPhone Snaps

We have been living at our place for seven months now and the bed, despite being new, is something that has felt unfinished (see our bedroom tour here).  We had purchased a new Hotel Collection duvet cover (style is called, 'Frame'), but didn't get matching shams because I wanted to find something less expensive, less matchy-matchy, but also that worked in the space.  On top of that, other expenses took precedent.  All that said, I finally finished our bed last week and even found some art work to hang above it.

The three Euro pillows (with cases) were found at Home Sense, the black damask stripe King pillow cases are from Home Outfitters, the black ruffle pillows is old and from Home Sense, and the white fur and grey woven pillow are both from Bouclair.  I've had that furry, black throw for years and it works well as it's become Eve's favourite place to lie (and we no longer use it for ourselves, ha).

More after the jump...

On Friday after work I grabbed some groceries and went home to cook a huge meal for us.  Marco came home from work early, I broke out the wine and made turkey meatballs, spaghetti, Ceasar salad and fresh garlic bread.

Outfit deets:  Mondetta tank, MPG capris (similar), Nike Free 3.0 (similar) & Beats headphones.

Although this photo is from Thursday night, I spent Saturday morning (make-up free) in the gym, on the bike again for 30 minutes.  Since we have  a gym in our building, it works for those days I'm not wanting to drive to the gym.  Since I hadn't worked out in two weeks, I decided to ease in with some cardio.

Outfit deets:  Zara sweater, Urban Behaviour cami, Mavi 'Serena' jeans (here) & Rampage boots (I found these on Amazon after throwing out mine that were ruined after two years of wearing them during the Winter; also seen here.  I was so excited to find them for this Winter!).

Afterwards, I got ready and went to meet a friend for brunch.

We went to Baker Street--she had never been--and got the two egg breakfast and splurged on pancakes on the side to split.

I got home later that afternoon, it was a rainy, dreary day, and we just hung around the condo watching movies and surfing the 'net.  My girl friend told me about this amazing no-bake, healthy, peanut-butter cup recipe and I had all the ingredients on hand so gave it a go.  You guys, unreal.  I made a dozen and there are none left!  Man-approved too, although it was me who dominated that batch.

Outfit deets:  Color Collection sweater, Vero Moda dress, Aldo OTK socks (new!) & ankle booties.

Our friends had an informal house-warming party at their new pad so we did that on Saturday night which was a great time.

After some cardio on Sunday morning I whipped up these two-ingredient pancakes--I'm seriously obsessed with these.  I ate them every morning while I was off sick for a week and even for dinner (among a few other things) the other night!

I headed out to my parent's place for dinner on Sunday afternoon as my grandparents were in town.  We had a really nice visit and I got to see my nephew.

Home-made pizza and Caesar salad (and pumpkin pie and apple crisp for dessert!).
