How to add length to your dresses.

Outfit deets:
* Billabong skirt (new!) (similar).
* Accessories: Le Chateau cuff, MK bangle (gift), Gucci shades & Sirens necklace.

I have a bit of a problem finding dressing that are long enough for me #tallgirlproblems, so what I like to do sometimes is wear a snug fitting (cotton) skirt underneath to lengthen the dress and make it more work appropriate.

That said, I certainly would prefer to find dresses long enough, however, people often think the skirt is part of the dress--which is kind of the point, and a win-win--and bonus, it helps get more mileage out of your clothes.

  1. Hi Amanda! Haha I'm actually the shortest among my siblings at 1.76m/5'9. I sometimes wear skirts under what-are-meant-to-be-dresses too. I hardly ever wear jeans and trousers because they are either too big at the waist/hips or just too short on me. It's way harder finding clothes that fit well when you're a tall person in an Asian country :(

  2. @Victoria: thanks so much!!

    @Anne-Marie: That's crazy, I can imagine how difficult it must be in an Asian country when it's already difficult enough here in Canada! Thanks for sharing :)

  4. Amanda, I often think of you when I am getting dressed in the morning. When trying on outfits I sometimes even ask myself if this is a look you might wear. You are definitely my style icon!
