Our Christmas Decor

We finished decorating our tree and living room a few nights ago, and I'm so excited to share the photos with you!  I'm not really one to do a different colour scheme each year, but I love adding to the collection we already have and enjoy collecting trees and reindeer.   The accent colour in our house, on the main floor at least, is orange (sound familiar?), so I like to keep things flowing with that.  We don't do a 'theme' tree, and while this surprises most people (thinking I of all people would have a matchy-matchy tree) we love the mish-mash of our tree with all our unique, sentimental ornaments we've collected over the years.  Take a look.

  1. So pretty & festive! I love it! This makes me sad that I didn't end up getting my tree this weekend. It was supposed to rain a ton, so we thought we should wait until next weekend... sigh! Haha, and love the shoe ornament! So very appropriate for you!

  2. Very festive! I don't go in for matchy matchy trees either. I love a random collection of ornaments that remind me of goods times gone by instead. :)

  4. Glad you liked the idea of the hot whiskey. The cloves and sugar make a big difference so don't forget those. Here's a recipe that my Irish husband checked and is true to what you get in Dublin (or you could always call down to your local Irish pub and they should make it like this too):
